Modern business practice requires an integrated human resource system to replace manual processes for the operational control of employee relations. This has resulted in reduced labor requirements and administrative processes. The corresponding increase in productivity due to centralized computing which further streamlines operations and assists managers to focus on more mission critical aspects of human resource management. Although paperwork hasn’t been totally reduced, human resource managers can now spend more time on core business objectives as opposed to attending to minor administration tasks. One area where a computerized human resource system is fully utilized is in the screening, tracking and reporting on application processes associated with filling vacancies. With internet integration, job posting, the tracking of open positions and the ability to store resumes electronically, human resource managers can fulfill recruitment, screening and conduct all operations from a centralized computer terminal. The ability to perform searches, track jobs and applications greatly expedites processes that would otherwise be very time consuming to execute. The financial management module of human resource system permits managers to conduct payroll operations seamlessly. With software to control salary and wage rates, superannuation contributions, employee performance details, sick leave and annual leave entitlements and incidents, there is no longer any need for a huge payroll division to organize company payments. The automatic reporting functionally essentially means that once the manager setups and structures employee details, the system can operate without manual processing and minimal labor oversee. The HR system is necessary for companies of all sizes, whether they operate locally or globally. Keeping track of labor, forecasting labor requirements, facilitating day to day employee management and providing financial reporting to the accounting department are essential components to company operations. With the ability to cut costs, save time and increase productivity, an HR system is an investment that companies will long reap benefit from.

Lord Krishna was called by 100’s and 1000’s of names and certainly ‘Manager’ is not one of them. Here we will see how he is the Greatest Manager of All. Greatest leader of all time: When Krishna asked Arjuna and Duryodhana to choose between him and his army, the choice was, between a Leader and his Resources. Arjuna requested Krishna to lead the entire mission and personally lead him by accepting to be his “Saarthi” (Charioteer), guide him and lead him to success. Task Master: lord Krishna had 3 clear cut Goals and achieved 100% targets. Paritrananya Sadhunaam: Welfare for saints. Vinashaya Dushkritaam: Destroy evil. Dharmasansthapanaay Sambhavaami yuge yuge: To establish and strengthen religion in every era. Great Motivator When Arjun reached the battle field , he lost his determination to fight when he saw that among the opponents were many of his relatives (young and old ) and that he had to kill them for the sake of Kingdom. He resisted from fighting and dropped arms. Krishna motivated him by his speech and led him to fight the war. Great Strategist Pandavas and Kauravas had soldiers and warriors strength in the ratio of 7:11, Panadvas having 1.53 million and Kauravas’ 2.41 millions. With this count it was clear that the battle could be won only with Effective Strategies. Effective Control Mechanism Controlling an army of 1.53 million soldiers and warriors to fight against a bigger army was not an easy task. The 1.53 million soldiers were divided in seven divisions, led by a Commander each, further controlled by a Supreme Commander who himself was guided by the Pandavas and Krishna. This all was made possible with help of Lord Krishna’s great Management and Controlling Skills. …so now we all can proudly say that lord Krishna was a great manager of all time. In today’s complex business environment the management concepts derived from “Holy Geeta” will definitely find a holistic solution.

Saravana Krishnan; an MBA specialized in Finance from CMRIT 2006-8. Worked for 1 yr with “Sri Shirdi Capital Services Pvt. Ltd.” As Business Development Manager and on Aug 22nd ‘2009, he started his own venture “Multiary Financial Services” in partnership with Religare- A Ranbaxy promoter group. His Company: Multiray Financial Services is one of the emerging integrated financial services institutions. The company offers a diverse and holistic bouquet of services. The services platter ranges from equities, commodities, currency, insurance, mutual fund, bonds, fixed deposits, home loans, mortgage loans and tax planning. Multiray Financial Services are business partner of Religare securities Ltd. MFS is registered Sub-broker of SEBI. How did you come up with your business idea? During my post graduate I used to discuss with my friends that we will start some business. I have a passion in understanding stock markets. I opted to work in a stock broking company as an internship trainee. I grasped very well about stock markets and got more exposure on the same. After my internship I got more confident and self motivated to start own business related to investments. Since I am experienced on stock markets I started a stock broking by taking sub-brokership. What inspired you to start up a business instead of looking for a job? Great personalities like Naryanamurthy, Ratan Tata & Ambani are my great inspiration. Also books like Rich dad Poor Dad and entrepreneurship seminars instilled confidence in me. Always I feel that if we work for somebody we have restrictions,But if it is our business we will give our 200% to achieve. How did you react to the recent economic slowdown? Economic slowdown I took it as an opportunity because its time were everybody hunting for jobs and fear of jobs sacs. That time I prepared my mind more focused to be an entrepreneur instead of working for somebody. How do you see yourself 5 years from now? I’ve planned my long term goals and started working on it. I would like to see myself as an owner of few branches across South India and as a main broker from a sub broker.

“If you work with determination and with perfection, success will follow.”- Dhirubhai H. Ambani
