Don't accept new debt and keep paying down your current debt. It's quite simple actually, although we

are wired to do otherwise. It is important to not take on any extra debt while paying off your debt. A

consistent plan of attack is the best way to reduce your debt and improve your financial situation.

While a new job may come with a larger salary, it could also come with a move to an area that has

higher living expenses. Look into the cost of necessities such as housing, food, utilities, and other bills so

you will not be surprised.

To free up some money, get rid of your cell phone. Many people don't like this advice, but people did

not have cell phones years ago. These phones are just a simple convenience, not a necessity. At a

minimum, reduce your monthly cellphone bill by finding a cheaper plan.

Families can pool their funds to buy major purchases that everyone can enjoy. If it's something that the

whole family could find a use for, like a new TV, then the family may be able to be convinced to put their

money together.

Discuss your financial situation with your close friends and family members. This will help you feel a little

better about not being able to afford social activities with them. If you do not tell them why you could

not buy a gift or go on a trip, your friends might think that it is due to something they have done.

Maintain friendships, simply allow them to have a clear understanding of your circumstances.
