SYMPHONY SOUL PROJECT

In partnership with Community LIFT, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra received a coveted ArtPlace grant to create meaningful, musical experiences in Soulsville USA. Through its Symphony Soul Project, the MSO will not only present a season of concerts in the historic community, but also provide ensemble performances, workshops, Family Tunes and Tales, etc. for the community's schools, daycares, senior homes, afterschool programs and libraries. This residency gives the MSO and its musicians a chance to explore new methods of artistic engagement, all for the health and vitality of a real Memphis music neighborhood. All performances will take place at The Magnet, 879 East McLemore Avenue.
