Determining Location forBase Assemblies

1. Attach the ceiling track to your ceilingin compliance with local building codesand common local practice as directed by thelead installer. See matrix for typical handlingof common ceiling conditions.

Connections should be made at least everyfour feet for normal duty and at leasteverytwo feet for heavy duty and alongstraight runs, and within eight inches of theend of any run. Each off-module connectionor junction should also have a connectionwithin eight inches of the joint.

3. Fasten channel to caddyclips by using one (1) washer andone (1) nut per clip (3a). Tightennut by using a nut driver (3b).

Installing the Units

1. Lay units onto sawhorses. Peal paper backingfrom pad (1a). Place padonto back of base assemblyas shown (1b). Cut excesspad when finished.

2. Place the end panel on a clean, abrasive resistantsurface. Turn the base assembly on it's side and loweronto the end panel as shown (2a). Make sure the top ofthe base assembly and the top of the end panel is flush(2b), also make sure the side of the end panel protrudes1/16" from the front of the canopy assembly (2c).

3. Secure the end panel to the baseassembly, from the back side, usingsix (6) 1-1/4" wood screws.

4. Stand base units uprightand gang base units together(see assembly instruction939500801).

5. Place units against wall andlevel. Make sure front of theceiling track aligns with the rearof the canopy face board.

6. Install upper storage ifapplicable (see assemblyinstruction 939500809).

7. Add lower storage (seeassembly instruction939500811).

8. Install the aluminum extrusion(8a) and attach using screws attop canopy joints and ends ofeach unit (8b).

NOTE: Drill 3/16" holes in the aluminum extrusion as required to ensure at least one fastener is located at each canopy joint and at each end of run.

9. Attach clips to the fasciaand side fascias.

10. Insert three (3) dowelsinto bottom edge of each sidefascia.

12. Install each sidefascia into ceiling trackby engaging clip asshown (12a) then lowerso the three (3) dowelsengage in the three(3) pin holes (12b).

NOTE: If side fascia is cutat bottom edge, drill newholes for dowels.

1. Repeat steps 1 thru 11.

2. Install the support bracket (2a)and secure using two (2) bolts,washers and nuts as shown (2b) orsecure the alternate mounting for asingle base unit using four (4) #8 x5/8" pan head screws as shown (2c).

NOTE: Install one support bracketper fascia. Use center position withsingle base unit.

Vertical Fascia with End Filler Panel

1. Install the fascia intothe ceiling track byengaging the clip asshown (1a) then lower intothe aluminum extrusion(1b).

Reference:See assembly direction939500168 for theassembly of the End FillerPanel and for the correctmethod of trimming thefascia with a table saw.

Trimming is required onboth the extrusion and thefascia for this installation.The extrusion will requirea hacksaw and the fasciawill require a table saw.
