All Wheel BrakingAll Wheel Braking is standard on all 432E Backhoe loaders. Whendriving in two wheel drive, applying the brakes engages four wheeldrive, maximizing brake effectiveness. Releasing the brakes returnsthe transmission to two wheel drive. This is particularly useful whenroading. This effective system works well in hazardous, slippery or steepsurfaces. The rear wash/wipe unit cleans a large area of the new screento ensure visibility of the working area when working in wetor dusty conditions.

When adjustmentis necessary, the externally accessible wear paddesign takes minutes to adjust, without the need todisassemble the E-Stick. The sliding outer designallows excellent material clamping abilitieswhereby the E-Stick can still be retracted with afull bucket.

Slider Frame and Swing FrameThe 432E is designed to make necessarymaintenance easy to perform. The E-Series castslider frame has exterior lock clamps, with nobackhoe disassembly needed when servicing. TheSwing Frame/Boom Foot pins have replaceablebushings in the bores.

Caterpillar Cushion Swing The 432E is equipped with Cat Cushion SwingSystem, which enables very fast trenching by damping the boom oscillation down whenreturning to trench with the hoe.

Powerful Loader PerformanceThe 432E Parallel Lift Loader offers self levelling as standard,ensuring faster loading cycles. Available with either a GeneralPurpose or Multi Purpose bucket, the 432E can be matched toyour needs precisely. As ever, the work tool visibility isexcellent with the narrow sloping hood and divergent loaderarms allowing a clear line of site to the bucket edges. Thelarge torque tube means the torsional stiffness, needed whenpicking up irregular shaped heavy objects. The new arms havebeen redesigned to further Loader performance.

Joystick ControlThe loader joystick is ergonomically placed for operatorcomfort, and controls the multi-purpose bucket, auxiliaryhydraulics, and All Wheel Steer when these options are fitted.

Ride ControlCaterpillar’s proven Ride Control system is an optiondesigned to reduce machine pitching and bouncing givingoperators a smooth ride in all applications, including load and carry, roading, or simply moving around the jobsite. An accumulator acts as a shock absorber to reduce machinepitching and provide a smoother ride over rough terrain. The system is engaged by a switch on the front console.

Return to DigYour 432E is equipped with a standard Return to Dig system. This system reduces loading cycle times by bringing theloader bucket back to the dig position with an easy pull of thelever. 40 kph Power-Shuttle TransmissionThe 432E comes equipped with 40 kphPower-Shuttle transmission, improvingroading speed and providing better spacingbetween gear ratios. It utilizes a constantmesh, synchronized, four speed system. The forward/reverse lever on the steeringcolumn is placed for easy direction changeson the move, and the gear selection is fromthe floor mounted shift lever.

Caterpillar EngineThe 432E is available with either the 3054Cturbocharged engine that meets Stage IIemission regulation EU Directive 97/68/ECor the C4.4 turbocharged After cooledengine that meets Stage IIIA EU emissionDirective 2004/26/EC. A choice of powerrating enables the performance of themachine to be matched to customerrequirements. All engines are reliable 4cylinder, 4 stroke direct injection dieselengines equipped with standard glow plugstaring for optimum cold weatherperformance. This provides reliable startingperformance down to -18 C. Reduced MaintenanceThe 432E is equipped with a flip open hood, allowing access to all check/fill points, air cleaner, washer bottles, visual indicatorsetc. The E-Series carries on the tradition with sealed for life axleoscillation, driveshaft universal joints, trunnions etc. Daily maintenance, which can be a chore for the busy operator, is kept to a minimum on the new 432E.

Boom and Stick DesignThe Boom and Stick design allows all wear adjustment to be donewith Stick in-situ, using a simple wedge adjustment mechanism – no dismantling to shim the wear pads. The stabilizer legs are alsoexternally adjustable, reducing machine down time and inconvenience.

� All Wheel Drive (AWD) is engaged by front console panel switch or by brake pedal during all wheel brakingoperation. AWD can be engaged on the go, under load, in any gear,forward or reverse. AWD has outer final drives for easy maintenance.

� AWD is pendulum mounted andpermanently sealed and lubricated,requiring no daily maintenance. Also features double acting steeringcylinder with 52° steering angle for increased maneuverability.
