What is the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC)

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of

volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and

safety of their communities. The MRC network comprises

996 community-based units and over 200,000 volunteers

located throughout the United States and its territories.

How Does the DHV System Work?

• Register, enter information about your skills and

indicate your deployment preferences (local, state,

and federal)

• Once registered your professional license will be verified electronically with your licensing board

• Your secure verified information will then be available so you can be called upon when an emergency or disaster happens

What to Expect As A DHV Registrant

During a disaster, state or local (county) officials will

determine the need for your skills

You will have the chance to accept or decline the

volunteer request
