DIRECTIONS:1. 1-Preheat oven to 350 degrees and

grease the sides of a 9 x 13 baking dish or pan.

2. Slice potatoes into about 1/8 inch slices. (Optional to peel) and line the baking pan with about half of the potatoes.

3. In a 2 quart sauce pan, melt the butter over medium-high heat. Once it starts to bubble, stir in fl our until the mixture is thick and bubbly. Pour in milk while continuously stirring with a wire whisk. Heat until thickened and remove from heat.

4. Stir cheese into thickened mix until fully melted and pour half the mixture over the potatoes. Add the remaining potatoes in a layer and add the remainder of the butter, fl our, milk mixture.

5. Place uncovered in the oven for an hour or until a fork goes through the potatoes easily. Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes.

For the entire month of December, our ownElf on the Shelf will be hiding in different places throughout the store. We welcome children of all ages to look for the elf. Once he’s found, bring him up to the front end for a tasty treat!

KIDS WINTER COLORING PAGES

The winter months can certainly bring on some dark, dreary days. We would love to have cheerful decorations to keep away the winter blues. Stop in the store and ask any cashier for a winter coloring page for your child or children to color. Bring them back for a treat and we will display them throughout the store all winter long. If you want to make arrangements to pick your child’s artwork at the end of the season, leave contact information on the back and we will be sure to get it back to you. Happy coloring!

SARATOGA PEPPERMINT PIG

Every family has traditions they carry on during the holiday season. Whether you are carrying on a tradition or creating new ones, come in and get a Saratoga Peppermint Pig for great family fun and a

sweet treat. The festive tradition of smashing the peppermint pig started back in the 1800’s and continues still today. We carry Clarence (Large), Noel (Medium), and Holly (small).
