Our Thoughts

“Wish I knew” • We were surprised (but shouldn’t be) at

the very large percentages of respondents who did not know howtheir orgs detected drift in their web based apps.

• Orgs of all sizes need a reliable, intuitive way to detect drift

Configuration Management (CM) Tools used

• Diverse approaches to CM. Surprising percentages of orgs using homegrown tools.

• Surprising percentage of orgs repurposing their Server and OS tools to manage their Applications and Middleware.

Pain Points• Diverse needs generally but a common

requirement be able to return to recover from disasters.

• Bulk promotion of config changes is a popular wish list item

• Control and Auditability are important for larger orgs

• Automated drift detection and drift correction is more important in larger organizations
