BE it ordained by the SANGGUNIANG BAYAN of Ragay, Province of Camarines Sur, that -
SECTION1.IMPOSITION. Any business activity in this municipality is required to first obtain clearance from the barangay where such activity is located or conducted before the grant of a business license or permit by the Office of the Municipal Treasurer or Office of the Municipal Mayor, as the case maybe. No business license or permit shall be issued without such requirement having complied with.
SECTION2.ADMINISTRATIVE PROVISION. The Office of the Municipal Treasurer is hereby directed to comply with the imposition as provided in the preceding section. The Municipal Treasurer shall be responsible for any violation of this Ordinance either directly or indirectly through his /her subordinates and shall be dealt with in accordance with the Civil Service Law.
SECTION3.PENALTY. Any person, except any employee of the municipal government, who violates this ordinance shall, upon conviction, be punished by a fine of not less than FIVE HUNDRED (P500.00) PESOS but not more than ONE THOUSAND (P1,000.00) PESOS or an imprisonment for a period not exceeding one (1) month, or both upon the discretion of the court.
SECTION4.EFFECTIVITY - This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon approval.

UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED: By order of the Sangguniang Bayan of Ragay, Camarines Sur this 11th day of December, 2000.
