Have you ever thought about your

childhood and how your young

experiences have molded your faith? I am

excited to announce a new study entitled, What I

Learned When I Was Ten, by J. Ellsworth Kalas. In

this book Kalas reflects on the tenth year of his life, and

how that one special year shaped him and his Christian

faith in so many important ways. He shares stories

about what it was like growing up in Iowa during the

days of the Great Depression, and he remembers the

people, places, and events of those times that continued

to have an impact on his life to the end of his days. I

look forward to his insights as we make time to reflect

on our own life experiences and take time to connect to

our past as it relates to our faith journey.

Won’t you join me on Tuesdays in October at 10:00 in

the Wellness Center Conference Room? Books will be

available for purchase in my office for $11.50. One

copy will be available to read in the 2nd floor library.
