Update on efforts to recruit Board members New Business: 1. Appearance before the Board by the Oregon Society of Physician Assistants, which is seeking to allow PAs to do fluoroscopy. 2. Temporary license rule amendment? Does the Board wish to place a time limit for graduates who wish to utilize a temporary license following graduation and prior to earning a credential? 3. Temporary license: Should we expand the temporary license rule to allow current licensees (not just students or recent graduates) to obtain temporary licensure for post-primary pathway (similar to the current provisional license)? 4. Limited permitsshould we require limited permit holders to re-take and pass the ARRT LXMO examination after their permit has been inactive/expired for a certain number of years? 5. Since provisional licenses are currently issued to expire on Dec. 31, 2013, should we stop issuing new ones at some date (e.g. four or six months) prior to December 31, 2013. 6. Review proposed updates to OBMI Overview of Guidelines for Limited School Instructors 7. ii. Applicable to full licensure candidates: Twenty-four month deadline for a school graduate to apply for a temporary license.

3. Seek Board clarification of interpretation of OAR 337-010-0030(5) that says that limited permit students “are allowed three attempts to pass an ARRT exam.” Does that mean they can sit for the exam no more than three times (total) or that they can sit for a particular exam section no more than three times?

4. Approve an amendment to Board Policy 0008 to reflect recent Board-approved changes in LXMO instructor manual – limited permit instructor’s license must be current and in good standing for at least one year two years.

5. Should we do FBI checks on new license applicants? We would have to adopt an administrative rule to charge new applicants the fee (currently $52) to cover the cost.
