OREO CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES ngredients: 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 2/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 teaspoon baking soda Directions: 1. Using a medium sauce pan, heat butter and unsweetened chocolate while stirring until smooth; set aside to cool. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees; grease an 8x8x2-inch baking pan, or, line with foil and grease. I usually skip the foil step, but, it will make the release easier! 2. Stir sugar into cooled chocolate mixture. Add your eggs one at a time, beating with a wooden spoon just until combined. Stir in vanilla. In a small bowl stir together flour and baking soda. Add four mixture to chocolate mixture; stir just until combined. Spread batter evenly into the pan. Set aside and prepare the cream cheese filling. Filling 4 oz cream cheese, softened (from 8 oz package) 1 egg 3 tablespoons sugar 1/4 teaspoon vanilla In small bowl, beat filling ingredients with electric mixer on low speed until smooth. Set aside. Spoon filling by tablespoonfuls evenly onto brownie batter. Spoon remaining brownie batter over filling. Cut through mixture with knife several times for marbled design. Sprinkle with chocolate chips. Bake at 350F for 15 mins. Bring out from the oven and sprinkle the pieces of oreo cookies on top, you can add nuts of your desire if you want. Bake for another 15 minutes. Check for doneness after 30 mins, extend baking time if needed. For more cheesy taste you can drizzle the top with cream cheese frosting that we use for red velvet cupcakes (optional). Note: the brownie part is not fudgy , it is more on the cakey side. If you like it fudgy, you can try adding 2 tbsps. Of glucose but you would need to reduce the amount of sugar in the batter otherwise it will be too sweet. Try is first as it is and just make adjustment the next time you make it. The choice is yours.
