Welcome to Term 1 at Hastings Community Hub

This year is already looking to be a busy and exciting one here at the Hub. We have got some exciting events coming up in the first half of the year;

Secondary Schools Careers Expo

We would also like to welcome back all our returning groups from 2017 as well as a warm welcome to our new groups: Creative Makes and Marillac. We look forward to providing a safe, friendly and professional environment to run your events/programs in 2018.

The upgrade of the Mural at the front of the building is looking great and will progress further over the next term. We are looking forward to seeing the final results from Mari and her volunteers.

We also have a new project starting at the Hub this Term that will run for the next 6 months called The Hastings Community

Beautification Project. This team will be working around the building to upgrade and weed gardens, provide new seating areas in courtyards and around the grounds, create new paths and just some general beautification of our space.

PLAYBALL AT THE HUB

playball Kids Sports is a proven multi-sports program for children

aged 2 – 8 years old. It focusses on concentration, skills, confidence

and social skills, while building teamwork and sportsmanship.

This Program has been designed specifically for people

who are looking to enhance their skills, change their

career path or gain employment in the area of

Hospitality. The program provides an opportunity to de-

velop key employability skills and explore local opportu-

nities. This course encompasses a Food Handlers and

Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification.

Participants will receive a Certificate of Attainment and a

Certificate of Participation upon successful completion of

the course.
