• have a system for monitoring the fitness to practise of their doctors• have processes for doctors to obtain structured feedback from patients and

colleagues• have a process to ensure key items of information are included and discussed in the

appraisal portfolio• have a process for obtaining relevant information when entering into a contract of

employment • have a process in place to ensure fitness to practise evaluations and appraisals take

account whole scope of practice• have a process established for the investigation of capability, conduct, health and

fitness to practise concerns• monitor compliance with GMC conditions or undertakings• relevant appraisal, revalidation and human resources policies are fair and non-

discriminatory
