Over the past few decades life sciences have evolved in to a modern technology without which medical progress would be scarcely imaginable. Life science research plays a crucial role both in elucidation of the molecular causes of the disease and in the development of new diagnostic methods and better targeted treatments. Life science will be the foundation of tomorrow’s medicine and a central element in future business and economy development. The knowledge generated by life science will impress 21st century in ways we most likely are unable to foresee today. However, most of the noble prizes are being awarded to medical sciences as compared to life sciences. Another issue is the major funding is fluxed towards some selected life sciences projects like Human Genome Project. This conference will provide decision makers with a clear picture of the whole landscape and enable better strategic decisions to be made. A strong understanding between both the domains needs to be established to ensure that both research in life science and medical sciences continues to grow and operate in the coherent way. This conference would reveal the importance of a clear articulation of the strengths and requirements of both the domains and how life science and medical science complement each other to faster innovative and quicker research to answer potential problems.
