Celebrated INSPIRON 2K17 (TECHFEST)

ON 15th and 16th February 2017

To explore the proficiency and dexterity of technical students, and to present them an

extensive platform, Sanpada college of commerce and technology for the third

consecutive year hosted an inter-collegiate Technical Festival.

The event was organized on 15th and 16th February, 2017 at SCCT college campus.

From over 20 reputed colleges covering Navi Mumbai , more than 200+ student

participants showed their talent and flair in 7 various technical events.

Day 1- 15th February, 2017

The efforts and endeavors of SCCT finally ended with dazzling moments when

principal of degree college Dr.D.M Muley welcomed our esteemed guest Dr. Swati

Vitkar.

The inaugural ceremony flagged off at 9.30 a.m. by ribbon cutting which was followed

by lightening of the lamp and felicitation of the chief guest, principal and the three

chief coordinators of Degree College. A welcome speech was given by the principal.

His speech truly motivated and provoked all the participants.

The event chairperson Prof. Smita Negi gave an introduction about the fest and its

journey since 2014 and revealed that these technical events endow a great platform to

students for unearthing and executing their theoretical knowledge into practical

learning. Also, she emphasized on competing with the world with excellent

presentation skills, smartness and their inner strength. SCCT is fortunate to take this

opportunity to provide a magnificent stage for the same by hosting this Technical

Festival.

With a winning spirit and positivity, all the participants stepped forward for their

respective events. The events on the 1st day were: An Effective Talk (powerpoint

presentation), Crack it (password cracking), Techno Exhibit (Exhibition) and Web

Designo (web designing). The Event Coordinators Prof. Huma Ansari and Prof. Gokul

Choudhary well coordinated with all faculty incharges for respective events for its

smooth functioning without any setbacks.

Day 2- 16th February, 2017

The shining sun rose with the same spirit of winning the events. Mathematica, techno

quiz and technical debate were planned for the day. Second day events saw a good

participation from other college’s viz. S.K.College, western college, J.K.College,

Manisha college to name a few. The events on the 2nd day started at 8.00 a.m with

Talk on talk (tech debate) wherein the topics were given prior. Students had to choose

from the topics viz. Linux vs IOS, dedicated server vs cloud server, e-commerce and

social media. Tech Quiz was another interesting event which pulled lot of crowd. To

make it more exciting mobile buzzers were used. Western college students bagged the

first position wherein the second position was taken up by the host team. Students were

enthralled by the expert talk given by Mr. Rizwan Shaikh a well known face in the

world of cyber security. To test the analytical mind of students an event named

Mathematica was organized which saw the maximum participation amongst all the

events. The chief guest for the prize distribution ceremony was Mr.Hiren Dand BscIT

Coordinator, Mumbai University graced the occasion with his presence. Later on the

prizes were distributed and the winners were congratulated for their grand success. The

certificates and the cash prizes were given by the invited Chief Guest. He appreciated

the efforts taken by the IT/CS students and also the selection of the events designed by

the event organizers. He wished good luck to all the students for their upcoming

exams. Students and teachers enjoyed each event with great enthusiasm and zeal. The

ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks given by Prof. Rohini Inamdar and Prof.

Vidula Kulkarni.
