Welcome to Lund University and the Orientation Weeks

The Arrival Days are the start of the Orientation Weeks offering activities where you will have the chance to learn more about Lund University and Sweden and make new friends. Pay attention to instructions from your coordinator in order to not miss any meetings.

Links to take part in the online events organised by International Desk will be posted on International Desk Facebook page. FINDING YOUR WAYStreet addresses are listed in the programme. A LU Map is included the Welcome Package that you receive on Arrival Day or when checking in.

EVENTS WITH TICKETSSome events require a ticket. Events printed in bold are organised by the International Desk at Lund University and are open to all students. Tickets to these are sold online the week before Arrival Days and they are described in detail on International Desk Facebook.

Hike in Lund Explore the lush southern part of Lund with us. Bring your own snacks and water bottle.

Bike tip to the nature reserve DalbyBike with us through the lovely countryside to a nature reserve situated approximately 20 km from Lund.

Run around LundJoin us for a run in Lund, choose lenghts of 5 km or 7 km. A perfect way to get to know the city, make new friends and perhaps set some healthy routines for the coming semester. Guided Tours During the Orientation Weeks svereral different guided tours are offered. Vistit the Cathedral, the Botanical Garden or one of the museums.

Health and Safety

Great care has been taken to make sure that the events are in line with the regulations from the Swedish health authorities. The program is subject to change, and changes might be made with a very short notice.

• All participants must respect the instructions given by staff members, mentors or organisers

• Avoid greeting people with a handshake or hug• Maintain a distance to other people• Wash your hand often• Cough and sneeze into the bend of your arm or into a tissue• If you have the slightest symptoms of a cold you are not allowed to take part.

Don’t hesitate to contact a staff member, mentor or the organiser if you have any questions.
