Origami and Embroidery:

Folding Canvas -that is originally made to hold the stitches of embroidery- gives it

new possibilities and enables it to build a memory between its folds. Which provide

embroiderers and fashion designers with a new tool to create novel products and

designs with new functions.

Origami hydrangea

This Origami design of the hydrangea flower has inspired the creation of a new

Palestinian embroidery motif in an attempt to enlarge the identity of the Palestinian

Embroidery be inserting modern and multicultural elements into it.

Unveiled Souls Bag:

This Origami bag design was developed during the Create – Shop that took place in Amman/Jordan in September 2017. Organizer: Disarming Design from Palestine DDFP, Create-shop 2017. Hosted by: Amman Design Week “ADW 2017”. in collaboration with: Darat al Funun. And in collaboration with the artisans of the Gaza Refugee camp in Jerash.

Open Structure:

Some of the sketches for the design that is now being developed with DDFP and in

collaboration with the Belgium design collective Open Structure “OS”.

It’s a food container that talks about the future home, memory, and how these are

interacting with the social and political situation in Palestine.
