Drawing influences from nearly everything that crosses their path,Origin Blue creates music that is both easily recognizable and hard to

categorize. The genre-bending trio combines all forms of music fromfunk to modern/contemporary jazz to rock and distills them into sounds

that are as thought-provoking as they are danceable. The group hasperformed their music in venues worldwide, including the Blue Note

Milan and Catalina’s Jazz Club in Hollywood, and they have

collaborated with such celebrated musicians as saxophonist FrancescoBearzatti. Their debut album is scheduled for release in Fall 2009.

Isamu McGregor is a jazz pianist/keyboardist who spends time in bothManhattan and Los Angeles. He has studied with a number of distinguishedmusicians, including Wayne Krantz, Jean-Michel Pilc, Andy Milne, Greg Burk andDon Friedman, and he has performed with artists such as Bennie Maupin andFrancesco Bearzatti at venues across the globe, including the Blue Note Milan,

Catalina’s Jazz Club and BB King's in Los Angeles and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival . His melodic and lively playing along with his natural musical instinctsmake him an often-sought musician and collaborator. (myspace.com/isamumcgregor)

Evan Crane is an upright and electric bassist currently living in New York City.His wide array of influences (past teachers include Martin Wind, Tony Moreno, Andy Milne, and Mike Richmond) and unique approach to groove and melody form amusical melting pot very much akin to the cultural diversity of the city in which heresides. Fueled by his passionate devotion to his craft and his determined andprofessional attitude, Evan is full of self-expression and creativity and seeks to form

Jeff Hatcher is a creative and well-rounded drummer who is currently enrolled inthe Jazz Studies program at New York University. His wholistic understanding of music comes from his studies under a variety of accomplished musicians includingTony Moreno, Andy Milne, Mike Richmond, John Scofield, and Billy Drewes. Jeff has further developed his musical talents outside of the United States by travelingto Trinidad and Tobago, where he studied and performed with the country'srenowned percussion group, Drummers of Tomorrow.
