have made.

Reindeer leather bracelet, decorated

with skolt sámi beadwork.

Beadwork is special decoration style of

skolt (eastern) sámi people

Traditional reindeer leather is made at home. Colour and natural preservative

comes from bark of willow.

The idea of this bag is the contrast of dark and white

reindeer fur

Materials come from nature:

reindeer and fish leather.

with backbone “beads” of whitefish

Only the best material is good

enough for reindeer boots

All four legs of reindeer are

needed to make a pair of boots

JIEKIÖ is a special tool for scraping

leather

Using the ”jiekiö”

After the scraping, cutting the pieces,

sewing them together and decorating, the boots (shoes) are

ready.
