What is Communication?

• Communication is the activity of conveying information through the exchange of ideas, feelings, attitudes, thoughts, messages, or information between two or more participants.

parchment, or paper containing writing.

• First form of editable record keeping texts.

• History dates back to ancient Egypt.

Introduction of printing press

• A printing press is a device for evenly printing ink onto a print medium (substrate) such as paper or cloth. The device applies pressure to a print medium that rests on an inked surface made of movable type, thereby transferring the ink.

First printing press was invented in China by the Han Chinese printer Bi Sheng between the years 1041 and 1048

• The Internet carries an extensive range of information resources and services, such as the inter-linked hypertext documents and applications of the World Wide Web (WWW), the infrastructure to support email, and peer-to-peer networks for file sharing and telephony.
