my first job HEATHER M C BEE What was your first job? Radio Promotion intern at BNA Entertainment How did you get the job? Id packed up and moved to Nashville with my eye on working in the Music Business. Thanks to the internship program at Belmont (then College) University, I interviewed for the position and got it. How long did you have it? I had the internship for 3 semesters, but stayed with the company, learning and growing, for another 20 years afterwards. What did you like about it? I enjoyed the constant opportunity and encouragement to learn. I was very blessed to have worked with people that mentored me throughout my career. My first real experiences in the music business were with people that taught me how the business worked. I now get to give that back through my work with the ECs Project Music. What did you not like about it? Nothing! I loved it! Well, except that it was an internship so I had to write a paper ... Project Music What did you learn from it? It was my first big break in the business. What I learned from it was up to me and I learned EVERYTHING I possibly could get my hands on. That was the biggest learning ... to be self motivated and add value to everything I do.
