Then, he sent Jesus. Promise kept. However, God’s delivering is not yet complete, and for that reason we wait for Jesus to come again. December 13 - Kids on the Rock Christmas program during both morning worship services. Special Christmas Services: Wednesday, December 23, 7:00 pm Thursday, December 24, 4:00 pm Christmas Service Tickets: River Rock's Christmas Services will be on Wednesday, December 23rd at 7pm and Thursday, December 24th at 4pm. Kids On The Rock (KOTR): Parents, the last 3 numbers on your child's check-in tag will appear on the black box to the right of the main stage screen if your child needs you. Reverb All-Nighter: Our middle school ministry is partnering with a local ministry to have an All-Nighter on Friday/Saturday December 4-5 at 3 Mile Project near Alpine Ave. 3 Mile Project has basketball courts, movie theaters, volleyball, octoball, video games, a skatepark (must bring helmet and board), Reball, and much, much more. In the next few weeks there will be more information provided about the All-Nighter. !Middle School SpringHill Winter Retreat: Winter is coming and that means it's time for our winter retreat to Spring Hill!!! This year the middle school ministry is going to Spring Hill Jan. 22-24. This retreat is full of fun and powerful spiritual growth. The cost is $140 if students sign up before Dec 2 and $150 after that. The last day to reserve a guaranteed spot is Dec 16. Students may get a registration form in the Student Space. Operation Christmas Child (OCC): Thank you for supporting OCC once again this year and helping to bless thousands of children across the world with a shoebox of gifts and the life-saving information about a relationship with Jesus Christ! We collected 87 boxes this year! !North Kent Community Gifts: There is a tree in the lobby with stars for Christmas gift needs for North Kent Community Service. Please bless the community by taking a star and returning with the gift by December 13. !Stephen Ministry: River Rock has seven Stephen Ministers and is planning to expand this ministry of caring in 2016! We need men and women of our congregation who are willing to serve as Stephen Ministers, beginning with 50 hours of training. The training will begin in January and conclude by the summer. Please prayerfully consider God's calling to this important ministry. For more details and how to get connected, contact Jeanne Maher. The deadline to sign up is December 1. !Mission Lower Ninth: Please pray for all those who will be spending the coming days in New Orleans, working to rebuild Miss Kim's house. Ask the Lord to give them safety in travel and on the job site, and wisdom and unity so they might be a testimony to others of Christ and His church.

Serving Opportunity: We are looking for someone with a passion for technology and music to operate the soundboard once a month (both services) starting in January. The deadline for returning the feasibility study is upon us and we don’t want to move forward without your feedback. Please take the time to help the Facility Task Force by completing your survey TODAY. These are exciting and critical decision days for all of us at River Rock. Community Prayers/Family Matters !Please pray for and rejoice with Kyle and Lisa Bade, and big brother Callum on the birth of Stella Grace Bade, born November 11, 2015, weighing 7 lbs. and 19 inches long. The family is doing great! Congratulations! !The LaBadie family would like to send out a huge "THANK YOU" for all the thoughts, prayers, support and food while Donna has been recovering from her fall. “You truly stepped up during our time of need and we feel the blessings.” Update: Donna's accident happened August 28th. Since October 7th, she has been walking with a walker and gradually putting weight on BOTH legs....YAY! On November 23 the back brace comes off!! PRAISE THE LORD...these 3 months have been life changing. “Thank you EVERYONE for loving on me, you will remain in my heart forever!!” !Jeff Yonker has accepted the volunteer position of Church Disability Advocate for our congregation and will work closely with the Disability Concerns ministry to assist with any questions or concerns in connection with disabilities.
