During the month of April Larry Nicholson, a First NationsWriter lead and interactive writing workshop at Pathways
Aboriginal Centre for the The OSKAYAK Youth Program.
Together participants wrote this poem:
Once, there was great BBQ
A rog came and poured water on it
The BBQ had magical powers-
Sunshine, lollipops & rainbows, everything
All the kings horses and all the king’s men
The great BBQ was held in the garden o Eden and protected
by the sword acing East
And on it the greatest steak o all with toga sauce
And next a voice spoke saying: Luke I am youth ather
Then it started to rain butterlies and rogs
Then unicorns came trying to steal the steak but it did not
work
Because sleepwalkers are greedy
Because unicorns did not know the sleepwalkers had the
sword to protect them . . .
