Glen Allan Recreation Complex redevelopmentThe wellness space will be expanded and will introduce specialized and older adult opportunities.

Planning phase for the wellness/health redevelopment is underway.

Planning Projects � Emerald Hills School Site - Community Wellness Centre planning � Festival Place planning, design and cost analysis

Plans and strategies will also be completed for these initiatives as identi�ed in the Open Space and Recreation Facilities Strategy.

The Leisure ice will be expanded to provide more space for recreational skating. Wellness space will also be modi�ed to accommodate increased demand. Multi-purpose space will be added to the Edu-tainment Centre for preschool, children's play, wellness programming and community use. A new youth activity centre will increase opportunities for ages 8 to 18.

MILLENNIUM PLACE

The revitalized Complex will include a new arena and opportunities for spontaneous use and wellness. The vision for the complex is to become an inviting place to gather and be active.

The scheduled completion dates are as follows:

* Open breezeway for hall and curling access: Fall 2011* Facility transition/operational training: December 2011* Existing arena remains fully operational for 2011/12 season* Ardrossan Recreation Complex, including new arena will be fully operational: March 2012* There are plans to replace the arena �oor in the existing arena in the summer of 2012, which would create two full-size ice surfaces in Ardrossan for fall of 2012.
