Kompakt ve/veya kansellöz kemiğin proliferasyonuyla karakterizedir. Santral, periferal veya kemik dışı tipleri vardır. Bu posterde, 43 yaşında erkek bir hastada hafif derecede fasiyal defor miteye ve palpasyonda ağrıya neden olan sol posterior mandibula tabanında lokalize büyük soliter periferal osteomanın olgu sunumu yapılmıştır. Bilgisayarlı tomografi incelemesinde iyi sınırlı, düzensiz yüzeye sahip, 3 cm çapında radyoopasite izlenmiştir. Osteoma cerrahi olarak alındı ve rekürens gözlenmedi.

  • Peripheral Osteoma at the Posterior Basis of Mandible: An Unusual

    Location

Osteomas are benign, slow-growing osteogenic tumors commonly

occurring in the craniofacial bones. Osteomas are characterized by the

proliferation of compact and/or cancellous bone. They can be central,

extraskeletal type or peripheral. In this poster, we presented a large solitary

peripheral osteoma located in the basis of the left posterior mandible and

causing mild facial deformity and pain by palpation in a 43-year-old man.

Radiographic examination by computed tomography revealed radiopacity with a

well-circumscribed, irregular surfaced mass approximately 3cm in size. The

osteoma was removed surgically, and no recurrence has been observed.

Mandibulann Posterior Tabannda Olaand Yerleime Sahip

    Periferal Osteoma

Osteomalar iyi huylu, yava byyen kraniyofasial kemiklerde sklkla

grlen osteojenik tmrlerdir. Kompakt ve/veya kansellz kemiin

proliferasyonuyla karakterizedir. Santral, periferal veya kemik d tipleri vardr.

Bu posterde, 43 yanda erkek bir hastada hafif derecede fasiyal deformiteye ve

palpasyonda arya neden olan sol posterior mandibula tabannda lokalize byk

soliter periferal osteomann olgu sunumu yaplmtr. Bilgisayarl tomografi

incelemesinde iyi snrl, dzensiz yzeye sahip, 3 cm apnda radyoopasite

izlenmitir. Osteoma cerrahi olarak alnd ve rekrens gzlenmedi.
