Month of June
Activity name: International Yoga Day Date: 21st June, 2018
Objective of activity: To learn, promote and practice yoga.

Outcome:
i. The NSS volunteers helped to promote Yoga and its practice through various sessions
during the period.
ii. Students gained knowledge and information regarding Yoga and its benefits.
iii. It was a learning experience for the volunteers as well as the participants.

Activity name: Rainwater Harvesting Survey- One Date: 05th
July, 2018
Objective of activity: To conduct survey regarding Rain Water Harvesting.

Outcome:
i. The volunteers communicated with local people and gained information regarding the
implementation of Rain Water Harvesting techniques in the nearby societies.
ii. The interaction with people helped the volunteers to collect data and information for the
purpose of statistical analysis.
iii. It helped the students to develop their communication and personal skills.

Objective of the activity:To conduct survey and spread awareness regarding

Objective of the activity: To Introduce the National Service Scheme to the upcoming
batch of new students.

of NSS.

Objective of activity: To promote afforestation.

Objective of activity: To conduct the meeting without any flaws.

Activity name: Ground Clearing and Pit Digging for Waste Management

Objective of activity: To dig a pit for the purpose of waste management and to clear the
surrounding areas.

Outcome:
i. The volunteers successfully dug a pit of proper size for vermicomposting.
ii. Future plans were formulated for the waste management system and other related
activities.
iii. The activity helped the volunteers to establish a strong bond with each other.

Objective of activity: To draw and paint NSS logo on cloth bags

Objective of activity: To spread awareness regarding blood donation

i. The volunteers persuaded a lot of people to donate their blood and made them aware
about the benefits of the same.

Activity name: ‘Ganga Bachao Abhiyan’-for Kaamwari River Date: 29th
September, 2018
Objective of activity: To start a campaign for the purpose of spreading awareness regarding
‘Water revival and rejuvenation programme’. No. of participants: 48

Outcome:
i. Message regarding water revival and rejuvenation was successfully preached to the local
people.
ii. People understood the importance of cleanliness and hygiene.
iii. People were given opportunity to speak and share their views and ideas regarding the
points mentioned above.
iv. Commissioner of BMC and Head of Health and sanitation Department assured their full
support for the cause of water revival and rejuvenation campaign.

Activity name: Elocution Competition Date: 01st October, 2018
Objective of activity: To motivate students to participate and gain experience in public speaking

i. The students’ attitude towards public speaking changed.
ii. The communication skills and presentation skills of the volunteers improved.
iii. The volunteers understood the importance of participation and effective speaking.

v. The activity helped boost the confidence of the volunteers.
vi. The activity proved to be a learning experience for the volunteers.

Objective of activity: To donate blood and to help in the organization and smooth functioning of
the camp

Objective of activity: To gain knowledge about road safety and spread awareness for the same
