Thank you for your continued support and participation at the Ottawa International

Buskerfest. I personally began my performance career doing shows at Buskerfest 26

years ago and I’m thrilled to support the festival again this year as producer.

A few years ago we started Circus Factory Inc., a not-for-profit organization set to

help grow and support the Ottawa International Buskerfest. The festival is currently

run by a small volunteer board, with funding from various sources, including

government grants.

2019 has been very challenging for Ontario festivals. We recently learned that we

would only be receiving a portion of the funding typically received by Buskerfest.

In order to continue to deliver outstanding programming and accessible

entertainment we have started a GoFundme campaign. Donations will also be

applied to supporting the festival in future years. Find a link to our GoFundme

Each year we bring the best street performers in from around the world. We deliver

smiles and laughs to audiences at street level. We strive to continue to deliver jaw

dropping family fun and unique theatrical experiences.

A big circus show hosted by “Santos”, who after intensive training in the circus school of Cuba and Wuqiao (China), together with two years of sharing the streets of Caracas with some of it’s biggest artists, bring you an amazing act filled with breathtaking chair acrobatics, risk performances with chinese pots, and all of the big skills necessary to tame a furious beast.

An unforgettable experience combining improvisation and games, the “Santos Circus Show” is a perfect treat for the whole family.

Meg Lagrande One woman live looping performance artist.

Meg LaGrande is a Dublin based live-performance loop artist who creates ethereal soundscapes with her unique blend of celtic violin and vocal arrangements. She garnered international attention as a solo act after a video of her busking on Grafton Street in Dublin went viral. Since then she has been booked across the country and was a featured performer during the 2018 Miss Universe Ireland Finals.

Mat Ricardo Fast hands. Smart mouth. Nice suit… and our 2017 People’s Choice Award Winner!

An authority on street performing, Mat has delivered a TEDx talk on the subject, has written extensively about the artform, and remains a bona-fide star of the street performing world. Mat learned his craft on the cobblestones of Covent Garden, and continues to be one of the most quick-witted, high-skilled, well-travelled and sharply-dressed entertainers on the international busking circuit. He can be relied on to pull a crowd and then reduce them to hysterics, all while showing them tricks they’ve never seen before, might still think are impossible, but will never forget.
