Through real-life situations, studentsquickly learn to communicate in English in a naturaland progressive manner. Students learn all four skillsof listening, speaking, reading and writing.
For many students, this is their first experiencestudying English intensively and for others it is theirfirst time away from home alone. They arrive withapprehension but leave with newly learned Englishlanguage skills, self-confidence and friends fromaround the world. This once in a lifetime experience, which combines language learning with leadershiptraining, allows them to mature, learn to beindependent and flourish. The happy smiles on their faces, says it all.
Students are carefully monitored to ensure their safety, health and happiness at all times. The camps’ responsible leaders receive training in First Aid and CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation). All leaders are positive role models providingleadership to the students as well as helping them to speak English in a relaxed and fun environment.
A. CANADIAN CAMPING EXPERIENCE WITH LOCAL CANADIAN STUDENTS
Known for its architecture and natural beauty, Ottawa is a showcase of Canadian history and culture. Canada’s fourth
largest city, Ottawa is home to over 60 festivals, 30 museums, and 50 galleries and theatres. It is ideally located for side
trips to Toronto, Niagara Falls, Montreal and Quebec City.
This program was intended to create a community in the area, thereby allowing applicants to experience real-time
dynamic Canadian culture. Interacting with Canadian/foreign friends is sure to give our children meaningful and long-
lasting memories to cherish.
D. SPEAK ENGLISH WITH CONFIDENCE
On the first day, all students are given both an oral and a written test. Each student is placed in a small group class
based on the results of their tests and their age. 6 levels of instruction from Beginner to Proficiency are offered. All
teachers hold B.Ed degree, certified ESL teachers by the Ministry of Education and have had experience teaching
English as a second language. Students are tested before assigned to their classes based on 6 different levels with other
international students..
