(AP) — Otter Tail Corp. says John Erickson has resigned as president and CEO. Erickson will continue on the board of directors. The board has appointed current director Jim McIntyre to serve as interim chief executive. In a news release, board chairman John MacFarlane says Erickson and the board determined that Otter Tail "would be best served by new leadership to move the corporation's strategy forward." MacFarlane says the board "fully endorses" its strategy to narrow its portfolio of businesses and allow the company to pursue investment opportunities in its electric utility. Otter Tail's interests include an electric utility and energy services company, wind energy and transportation, health services, and infrastructure businesses. Corporate offices are in Fergus Falls and Fargo, N.D. FERGUS FALLS, Minn. (AP) — Otter Tail Corp. says John Erickson has resigned as president and CEO.

Erickson will continue on the board of directors. The board has appointed current director Jim McIntyre to

serve as interim chief executive.

n a news release, board chairman John MacFarlane says Erickson and the board determined that Otter

Tail "would be best served by new leadership to move the corporation's strategy forward."

MacFarlane says the board "fully endorses" its strategy to narrow its portfolio of businesses and allow the

company to pursue investment opportunities in its electric utility.

Otter Tail's interests include an electric utility and energy services company, wind energy and

ransportation, health services, and infrastructure businesses. Corporate offices are in Fergus Falls and

Fargo, N.D.

The board is searching for a permanent CEO.
