The Geopier GeoConcrete® Column system uses a pressurizeddisplacement mandrel and ready-mix concrete to constructelements down to a dense bearing stratum — providing a costsaving alternative to deep foundations in very poor soils.
Grout or cement can be added to Geopier processes forhigher performance in poor soils.
Ground improvement elements constructed of materials stiff enough to carry loads from a structure through a soft soil zone to a harder soil below (while providing improvement of the enclosing soils) are called rigid inclusions. While the term “rigid inclusion” covers many systems, precision Geopier systems provide superior materials and settlement control in poor soil conditions – where it is needed most.
