4. CHINA CLAY POWDER

China Clay or Kaolin is a white burning non plastic clay mineral with the chemical composition

Al2Si2O5(OH)4. It is very soft in feeling and finer in particle size. It results from the alterations of feldspars,

granite, gneiss and pegmatite rocks by hydrothermal action of aqueous solution. China clay carries

minute impurities such as silica, iron, magnesium, titanium, calcium, potassium, sodium oxides, mica,

tourmaline, etc. It is white in appearance and mined in lumps forms. The quality of china clay depends

much upon the impurities present.

5. BENTONITE POWDER

Bentonite is a natural clay of the smectite family. The montmorillonite platelet structure within

bentonite makes it a versatile mineral, no two natural forms are the same and the chemistry is complex.

Bentonite sometimes acts more like a chemical than a mineral. Bentonite has some interesting

properties. The individual platelets of bentonite can be thought of as a "club sandwich". The platelet

consisting of a tetrahedral Silicon Oxide layer with some Silicon replaced with trivalent cations,

sandwiched between two octahedral Aluminium Oxide layer with some Aluminium replaced with

divalent cations. The edge of each platelet has a hydroxide group which allows it to form thixotropic gels

in water.

Charge imbalances are generated on the surface due to the metal replacements in the structure

which are countered by the cations bound to the surface. The individual platelets are surrounded by

lattice moisture and stack together to form agglomerates. As a result, the overall properties of a

bentonite are determined by the platelet size, number & size of charges

6. GEOLITE / DIATAMOUCUS EARTH POWDER

Siliceous earth is an inorganic material, which has chemical composition of >80 of amorphous of Silica.

This amorphous phase is very rare and used widely in industrial scale because of its high porosity, fine

particle size, very low density and its high surface area. It’s most chemical and physical features are

same as Diatomites which is also an amorphous silica consists of fossilized remains of diatoms, a type of

hard-shelled algae therefore. Siliceous earth differs from Diatomites in the mode of origin only and

seems to be formed from volcanic ash. Due to these similarities in both materials Siliceous Earth finds

similar uses as Diatomites.

It is mainly used as filler and filter, heat and sound resistant material and in ceramic industry. Filtration

and cleaning of vegetable oils and animal fats and manufactures of medicines are other uses of this

mineral. Rajasthan is the only state of India that produces this mineral. In advance applications it is used

as carrier for catalysts in chemical processes and for mineral fertilizers and herbicides, pesticides and

fungicides in agriculture as well as raw material for refination and filtration and constituent of synthetic

molding mass.

7. SILICA SAND

Silica is the name given to a group of minerals composed solely of silicon and oxygen, the two most

abundant elements in the earth’s crust. Silica sand or Industrial sand is a term normally applied to high

purity silica products with closely controlled particle size. Silica exists in many different shapes and

crystalline structures as a significant component of many igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks.

This natural form of silicon dioxide is found in an impressive range of varieties and colors. Silica is very

hard (6.5-7.2 on Mohs scale) and chemically inert material. It melts on high temperature and makes high

strength bonds between the atoms.

Because of it’s transparent to translucent and vitreous luster nature Silica sand is the primary

component of all types of standard and specialty glass. Strength and non-reactive properties make it an

essential ingredient in the production of thousands of everyday products. Shape, size, dielectric

properties and non reactivity qualities makes it applicable in foundries and filtration systems.

Silica Sand deposits are mined in open pit operations then dried and sized to produce the optimum

particle size distribution for the intended application. For industrial and manufacturing applications we

produce Silica sand with the purity of >95% silica content.

9. ZINC STEARATE

Zinc Stearate is a chemical substance that has a white, fluffy, powdered appearance and is usually formed from a combination of Stearic acid and zinc oxide. It does not have a strong odor, although traces of a slight fatty acid scent are not uncommon Zinc Stearate is a compound of long-chain fatty acids with Zinc attached to it. Zinc Stearates are insoluble in polar solvents (like alcohol & ethers), but more soluble in in aromatic compounds and chlorinated hydrocarbons when heated. It is a Zinc Salt of Fatty Acids [Zinc Stearate chemical formula is Zn(C17H35COO)2 ]. Also known as Zinc Octade canoic acid. And it has the molecular mass of 632.35 g mol−1 Synonyms of Zinc Stearate are “Zinc Soap”, “Zinc Salt of fatty acid”, “Zincum”, “Zinc Octadecanoate”, “Zinc distearate” etc.

Zinc Stearate Industrial Applications& Uses :

Zinc Stearate in Rubber Industry : anti-sticking and mold release agent. Zinc stearate also acts as an “Activator” in cross linking the natural raw rubber in rubber vulcanization process. It can be used as a drying lubricant or dusting agent for rubber products.

Zinc Stearate in Plastics Industry : lubricant & release agent. it also improves the gelation speed with the basic lead salt and lead soap. For PE & PP, Zinc stearate is used as halogen absorbing agent, it can eliminate the bad effect of residual catalyst to the resins color and stabilizer in the resins.

Zinc Stearate Paint & Coating Industry : pigment suspension, improve grindability and matting. In the paint industry where zinc stearate is added to lacquers and paint coatings for use as a flatting and sanding agent.

Zinc Stearate Cosmetics Industry : production of creams and ointments; also used to control sweat and maintain makeup. In cosmetics, zinc stearate is a lubricant and thickening to improve texture. In cosmetics, The Stearate salts are generally used for their lubricating properties. They also help to keep emulsions from separating into their oil and liquid components. of the lipid (oil) portion of cosmetics and personal care products and reduce the clear or transparent appearance of finished products.

Zinc stearate has antiseptic, astringent and topical protective properties, due to which Zinc stearate can be used as a water-repellent, a protective agent used in powders and ointments in the treatment of eczema, acne, and other skin diseases.

Zinc Stearate in Concrete industry : For concrete manufacturing, it is mixed as an additive for waterproofing concrete.

Other Uses : washing powder, building materials, textiles, Inks, wax compounds etc. As a chief ingredient in “fanning powder”, it is used by magicians performing card manipulation to decrease the friction between the cards.

10. CALCIUM CHLORIDE POWDER

We procure high-grade Calcium Chloride from reliable and authentic sources of the market. The powder

is an ionic compound prepared by chemical reaction of chlorine and calcium. Moreover, it is a

deliquescent compound which can dissolve in water very well. Formulated using high grade base

material, it is widely used in several processes and operations related to industrial applications.

Calcium Chloride aggressively absorbs moisture from the air, first causing a swelling of the crystals. If the

air is humid enough and the temperature is high enough, the crystals melt and liquid saline solution

brine) is formed.

It works well over a temperature range from freezing up to 100C or more. At low temperature the salt

does not absorb moisture under dry conditions. In practical terms calcium chloride desiccants are

effective at Relative Humidity above 20-30%, but are relatively more effective under moist conditions.
