Thankyou for all of the amazing prayers and to the wonderful families who made us dinners when our son Brennan had his heart surgery. Your kindness really made our lives a lot easier during that time and we so appreciated the homemade meals! We feel so blessed and we’re overwhelmed with your thoughtfulness. Brennan has recovered quickly, thank God, and he’s doing marvelously well! (Ah, to be two years old!) We’re looking forward to an extra-Merry Christmas this year, and wishing you one as well. God Bless! Megan and Pat Lauletta

CHRISTMAS CAROLING IN PARKESBURG ALL are invited to Join us today, Sunday, December 18, at 6:00 pm to go caroling in town. We will meet in the basement of OLC church. Bring a treat to share, a flashlight, and dress appropriately for the weather. We will supply the hot chocolate! Contact Janeen at [email protected]"
CHRISTMAS GIVING TREE As we have for the past several years, our parish is participating in Christmas Giving programs for needy children in our area. We have two separate organizations that we are providing gifts for so please follow the directions on the tag that you remove from the tree. The trees are located at the back of each worship site. Please adhere to the following guidelines: 1. $50 limit per child. (no gift cards) 2. If more than one gift is purchased for the
child please package as one. 3. Please attach the tag with the child’s name to
the gift. 4. Please return your gift to one of our worship
sites by the deadline which is noted on the tag. 5. Gifts for the Missions are due back this week-
end, December 17/18. It’s very important that donors return their gifts by the deadline to allow sufficient time for the coordi-nators to prepare for the gift distribution. For many children, this may be their only Christmas gift. Thank you for participating in this ministry. If you have any questions, please contact Sandy Hodorovich at [email protected] or call 484-716-3192. You may also call Mary Beth at the rectory-610-857-3510.
PRAY FOR OUR MILITARY Please remember in your prayers all the men and women who are serving our country in the armed forces. Lord, protect them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our Lord. Amen.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS NEWS We are collecting donations for veterans at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. The following items are always needed: sweatpants (open leg & elastic waist) denture cream, body wash, t-shirts, under-wear, socks, woman’s undergarments and hoodies/jackets. Fourth Sunday of Advent Audio: The True Meaning of Christmas Don’t let the busy-ness of this week before Christ-mas keep you from pondering the mystery of God becoming man. Listen on your drive to work or while doing chores at home. This digitally-mastered presentation combines classic recordings of Arch-bishop Sheen’s timeless reflections on the meaning of the Incarnation of Jesus, mixed with Gregorian Chant and seasonal music.
ADVENT REFLECTION
WARNING……WARNING: ADVENT VIRUS
Be on the alert for symptoms of inner Hope, Peace, Joy and Love. The hearts of a great many have al-ready been exposed to this virus and it is possible that people everywhere could come down with it in epi-demic proportions. This could pose a serious threat to what has, up to now, been a fairly stable condition of conflict in the world.
Some signs and symptoms of The Advent Virus:
A tendency to think and act spontaneously rather than on fears based on past experiences.
An unmistakable ability to enjoy each moment. A loss of interest in judging other people. A loss of interest in interpreting the actions of
others. A loss of interest in conflict. A loss of the ability to worry. (This is a very seri-
ous symptom.) Frequent, overwhelming episodes of appreciation. Contented feelings of connectedness with others
and nature. Frequent attacks of smiling. An increasing tendency to let things happen rather
than make them happen. An increased susceptibility to the love extended
by others as well as the uncontrollable urge to ex-tend it.
Please send this warning out to all your friends. This virus can and has affected many systems. Some sys-tems have been completely cleaned out because of it.

REST IN PEACE Please pray for the soul of Sylvia Perna.
Pray for all souls of the faithful departed. May they rest in peace In the kingdom of God.
