TO OUR PARISH FAMILY OF OUR LADY OF CONSOLATION

You are truly amazing!!! Thank you all so very much for your love, support and encouragement on the occasion of my 25th anniversary as a Deacon serving the people of God at Our Lady of Consolation Parish. I am so truly blessed!!! Thanks especially to Kathleen Hood and the Anniversary Planning Committee for making the celebration so special; thanks to all the altar servers, Extraordinary Ministers and Proclaimers who attended and participated in the Anniversary Mass; a special thank you to Joanne Cardine, Janeen Walker and all the members of the Music Ministry who “really outdid themselves” with the beautiful music for the Mass; cudos to Donna Martin and her staff and to all those who provided food and prepared and served the delicious meal; a very special thanks to Lisa Morrison and her family for the beautiful (and may I add most delicious) cake; a sincere thank you to Andrew Agen and family for the enjoyable slide show and copies of the C.D. (I’ll cherish it forever!!); a very special thanks to the parish staff—Joan, Mary Beth, Mary, Bernadette and Doug—for all your hard work in preparing for the celebration; a special “gracias” to the Comunidad Hispanica for the beautiful flowers and wall hanging of Our Lady of Guadalupe; thanks so very much to all of you for your cards, notes Mass Cards and gifts; much thanks to Father John, Father Tom and Father Ron Rossi for your friendship and support; and, last but not least, most special thanks to Father Victor for your love, support, friendship and for your most inspiring words in your homily during the Anniversary Mass. You are the best pastor a deacon could ever have!!! To Sue, Megan and Kevin, I love you very much!! Thanks for your patience and understanding. You are the “wind beneath my wings”!!! God Bless you all!! You are awesome!!! Gratefully, Deacon Gene

PRAYER FOR OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN

MILITARY SERVICE O Prince of Peace, we humbly ask Your protection for all our men and women in military service. Give them unflinching courage to defend with honor, dignity and devotion the rights of all who are imperiled by injustice and evil. Guard our churches, our homes, our schools, our hospitals, our factories, our buildings and all those within from harm and peril. Protect our land and its peoples from enemies within and without. Grant an early peace with victory founded upon justice. Instill in the hearts and minds of men and women everywhere a firm purpose to live forever in peace and goodwill toward all. Amen Queen of the Holy Rosary, we implore you to bless our military forces at home and abroad. Guide their steps into the way of peace. Amen. Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be.
