BULLETIN AND WEBSITE MINISTRIES Fatima, it is with a heavy heart that I inform you - this is my last bulletin. The bulletin and website ministries will now be handled by the new church secretary.

It has been a blessing and a privilege to have performed these ministries over the past 14 years. I watched so many of you joyfully and passionately serving Fatima in your ministries that I was compelled to desire the same.

One day in prayer, I told God that, “I want to serve in a ministry at church, but I do not have anything to give; all I have is the trait of being detailed”. I went on to say, “If you can do something with that, then, do it. Amen”.

If it sounds like I got a little huffy with God, you are right, I did. His immediate response was to laugh. I heard, in my spirit, a little chuckle that conveyed the message - “Are you challenging Me little girl?” I am not kidding. This is really what happened. If I can’t tell you - Fatima, my spiritual family - this truth, who can I tell? Within 12 months, His ultimate response was the bulletin ministry; and, in December 2012, He expanded the ministry to include the church website.

Please allow me to impart three bits of wisdom: (1) Be careful about challenging God. He is listening and just might challenge you back; (2) Know that God has given every human being talents to use to advance His king-dom. Be willing and ready to use your talent wherever He commands, whether it’s in the world, here at Fatima or both; and (3) Serve God passionately and thank Him for the privilege of serving Him every time you perform your ministry - just a simple sincere prayer of gratitude and humility will work: “Thank you, God, for allowing me to serve in the ministry of _____________ and let me do right by you with it. Amen”.

Please submit all bulletin and website announcements (weekly/monthly activities and pending events) to the church email address: [email protected]. The submis-sion deadline is Thursday by noon. I love you, Fatima, Valerie White.

PASTORAL CARE FOR THE SICK Please keep our Fatima loved ones in your thoughts and prayers. If you know of anyone who is very ill and confined (at home, in a nursing home or in the hospi-tal), please contact Father Ani at the Rec-tory or one of the following members of the Pastoral Care to the Sick Ministry: Lela Flood, Eliza-beth Harris, or Bettye Kelly. Currently, the following OLF parishioners need your prayers: Marie Purnell (Fairhaven Nursing Hm) • Flora Wiggins (Home) In times of Bereavement, contact Father Ani at the Rec-tory.

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptiz-ing them in the

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” (Matt 28:19-20). Fatima, you are counted among the nations. You have been commissioned to live the word and spread the word. May God bless you to continue your mission in 2015. Happy New Year!
