On behalf of the Our Lady of Victory Foundation Board, I want to thank everyone for their generous contributions over the last year. Your continued support for the Foundation ensures that the parish will have sustained financial support in the future while helping to address some current needs here at the parish. The $26,000 distribution of earnings to the parish for this fiscal year will help support scholarships, staff needs, and all the facilities on our campus, and the unrestricted distribution from the Foundation will help pay for the new school boiler and cover the additional cost of having a second priest here at OLV. As

these actions demonstrate, the OLV Foundation is definitely helping to promote the mission and vision of the parish and school through these funds. However, the Foundation Board knows this support would not be possible without your donations, so again, thank you! The Board of the OLV Foundation voted at our 2017 annual meeting to begin a campaign to grow the endowment, so the total amount in the endowment would reach $1,000,000. The details about this campaign are found within this newsletter, and Board members will be giving additional details throughout the coming months in the weekly bulletin, parish social media, and church announcements. It is my hope that many members of the OLV community will be able to support this fundraising campaign. However, the most important task is that everyone in the parish keep the success of this campaign in your prayers. With the additional money in the endowment through the success of this campaign, the annual distribution to the parish could be substantially raised--close to $50,000 per year. This additional financial support would ensure that the needs of our parish would never lack because of inadequate funding. Thank you for past support and your generous support going forward! If you have any questions about the OLV Foundation, please reach out to a member of our Board. We are here to serve needs of the parish by helping provide perpetual financial support to OLV. What is an Endowment?

An endowment is like a savings

account. When a donor makes

an endowment gift to the

Foundation, the Foundation

agrees not to spend the

principal value of their gift and

instead holds it in perpetuity.

The gift is invested and only

the earnings from the fund can

be spent by the Foundation.

The Foundation has distribut-ed over $250,000 to our par-

ish from the investment earnings since its inception.

Our distribution this year has reached a new record $26,000.

The Foundation Endowment is approaching $600,000.

Legacy Giving Campaign Update

This campaign was delayed due to the immediate need of the SOW (Save Our Windows) campaign. You will hear

more about our Legacy Giving Campaign this Fall. Please contact any Foundation Board Member to learn more

about how you can leave a legacy gift through this effort. We ask that you continue to support the annual needs of

the parish through your envelope support and consider an additional pledge or gift to the foundation.

The Foundation Board is excited to move forward with our Legacy Giving Campaign to reach $1,000,000 in our

endowment by 2020. This ambitious goal, when reached, will provide an annual income distribution to our parish

of approximately $50,000 for generations to come. We are pleased to share that with the generous support of

parishioners throughout the year, we are approaching $600,000 towards our goal. We invite you to join us by

investing as a donor to the Legacy Giving Campaign. Honoring the pastors of OLV who have served the parish

faithfully throughout the years, the following Legacy Giving Levels have been established:

Msgr. James Parizek Victory Level $10,000 per year (for 5 years)

Fr. William Meyer Meritus Level $5000 per year (for 5 years)

Fr. William Kaska Heritage Level $2500 per year (for 5 years)

Fr. Kenneth Martin Founders Level $1000 per year (for 5 years)
