Dear Brother Knights,
Elections are coming up at our May meeting—May 23rd. As you can see on page 2 we have several people who have stepped up and are running for po-sitions. Just because ONE person is running for a po-sition doesn’t mean YOU can’t run for the same po-sition! Think about it and if you are able to handle one of the many positions, please consider running
for it.
As most of you know we had a successful Golf Out-ing at the beginning of April. Many of you helped out and that made it a success! We had a lot of happy golfers. The more
people who help out at the events, the easier it is to run
them.
We also had a very success-ful Citizens with Disabilities Campaign ( Tootsie Roll Drive ) this past month. I would like to thank one of our Past Grand Knights, Ron Rizzolo, who has run this fund raiser for the past seven years and has always had outstanding results. Our collections from the Tootsie Roll Drive will enable me to give nice checks to the ARC of Palm Beach County and the Vinceremos Thera-peutic Riding Center. It is always a pleasure to visit these places and to enable the Grand Knight to show what Your Council can do.
Thank you.
Life is a journey. When we stop, things don't go right. -

Deputy Grand Knight’s Message
Brothers, “. . . I give you a new commandment: love one an-other. As I have loved you, so you also should love one another. . .” (Jn 13:34-35) Lines from the Gos-pel of Sunday, April 24, 2016. Reflecting on this command of Jesus’ and taking Fr. Andy’s powerful homily message of and I am paraphrasing: love is to generously impact everyone who crosses, in a positive or even a negative way, our path. While it is easier said than done, I committed my-self to, as Fr. Andy says, “We can all do a better job,” doing a better job with my new found defini-tion of love. Five minutes after mass in the Publix parking lot, a fellow pulled into a parking space I was waiting for. With my windows up, I ran through my usual tirade. So much for love. Sometimes for me at least, it is really difficult to obey the Lord. What about you? Vivat Jesus, Rocco V. D’Attolico

Chancelors Report
Brothers, On May 1st , many of our young Catholics will receive their First Holy Communion. Among these beautiful children is my very own son Alexander. We have already seen our other child , Ash-ley receive her Sacrament of Confirmation on Feb 22nd and now
it’s Alex’s turn. What a blessing. As I am so proud of my chil-dren, I wanted to take this opportunity to remind ourselves of how great and important it is to Remember the Holy Eucharist. If you ever question your Faith or better yet want to strengthen it, well then read John 6 (48-68) . Below is a caption on what many Catholic Scholars believe is one of the most important
writings in the Bible. John 6 I am the bread of life. Your ancestors ate the manna in the de-sert, but they died; this is the bread that comes down from heaven so that one may eat it and not die. I am the living bread
that came down from heaven; whoever eats this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world." The Jews quarreled among themselves, saying, "How can this man give us (his) flesh to eat?" Jesus said to them, "Amen, amen, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you.
Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and
my blood is true drink.
When you receive the Holy Eucharist, truly Remember what Je-sus said and be in total Communion with Him.
Vivat Jesus Benny Matos

Message from DelVecchio Family
On behalf of my father and the DelVecchio family I would
like to extend heart felt gratitude to the Color Guard for its
professional display of honors and to the brothers of 12376
for their support to the family. My father personally viewed
it as an honor to be a member of the Knights of Columbus
and was truly at peace. Thank you all!
Fraternally,
S/K Joe DelVecchio

Father Laurent’s May Message Brother Knights, We are in Easter season. “We know that Christ, once raised from the dead, will never die again; death has no more power over him” (Rom. 6:9). This is a great victory for Jesus. It is also a great victory for his dis-ciples. It is also a great victory for us since as his present disciples, through our baptism, we participate in his death and resurrection. We therefore share in his victory. The Risen Lord empowers us to live as Easter people ‘here and now’ in our daily journey to eternal Easter, where “death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away” (Rev. 21:4). Brother Knights, let us always live our lives joyfully as Easter people, giving thanks to God the Father who raised his Son Jesus from the dead through the Spirit. Again let us always give thanks to the Risen Lord who promised his disciples that he will be with them until the end of time (Mt. 28:20b). The Risen Lord always fulfils his promises. Just as he accompanied his two disciples on their way to Emmaus, he accompanies us in our day to day journey in our lives and at specific moments he enlightens us as he did to the Emmaus disciples when he was explaining to them the scrip-tures and breaking bread with them. The disciples recognized the Risen Lord and then he disappeared from their eyes (cfr. Lk. 24:13-35). The two disciples were so happy. They could not keep their joy in themselves. They immediately went to share their joy with the other disciples in Jeru-salem who were also very happy after seeing the Risen Lord. They all shared their joy among themselves and to all they encountered after that event. This is what we, brother knights, as Easter people need to do always: to
share our joy with our families, parishioners,
friends, relatives, co-workers and any one we
meet or comes into our lives. In this way we will
allow the Risen One to use us in extending his
victory, his joy, his salvation and make his king-
dom grow more and more here on earth as it is in
heaven until when everything will be subjected to
God, “so that God may be all in all” (1Cor.
15:28).
Fr. Laurent Assenga.

Knight of the Month
The Knight of the Month was a very easy choice for me. I worked with many of our Brother Knights during the fish fry. There were so many to choose from. One of our Brothers has worked all the Fish Fries. He helped every Friday morning with the fish prep and then spent each Friday evening standing out by the fryers cooking. I am proud to name Mike Hoefert as the Knight of the month.
The Family of the month was a very easy choice this month even though we had so many families working on our many Council Events. One of our brother knights and his wife devoted a lot of time to our Golf Outing as they have done in the past. The work that they do makes the job as Grand Knight easier because you can always depend on them. I am pleased to name Ron and Susan Rizzolo as Family of the Month.

To Mary, Refuge of Sinners
Hail, most gracious Mother of mercy, hail, Mary, for whom we fondly yearn, through whom we obtain forgiveness! Who would not love thee? Thou art our light in uncertainty, our comfort in sor-row, our solace in the time of trial, our refuge from every peril and temptation. Thou art our sure hope of salvation, second only to thy only-begotten Son; blessed are they who love thee, our La-dy! Incline, I beseech thee, thy ears of pity to the entreaties of this thy servant, a miserable sinner; dissipate the dark-ness of my sins by the bright beams of thy holiness, in order that I may be ac-ceptable in thy sight.
