Protecting Wyoming’s Natural ResourcesWe are continuously developing new ways to provide energy in a manner that preserves and protects Wyoming’s unique environment, habitats and history. These efforts have earned numerous Reclamation & Wildlife Stewardship Awards from the Wyoming Game & Fish Department. Projects include efforts to monitor elk and sage grouse populations, mule deer migration patterns, and the construction of a 48-mile water pipeline to conserve and store water. We were previously honored by the University of Wyoming’s College of Agriculture as the Research and Outreach Partner of the Year for improved reclamation practices and Greater Sage Grouse research.

Recent Conservation Projects • Enhancing elk and sage grouse habitats through

sponsorship of biological studies, monitoring programs, seeding and reclamation efforts

• Reseeding thousands of acres to prevent invasive species and restore production areas

• Funding the Greater Sage Grouse Advanced Mitigation study to see how science-supported mitigation can result in measurable impact reductions to the sage grouse and its habitat

• Sampling and statistical research related to historic produced-water reservoirs in the Belle Fourche Drainage

• Coordinated with the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality Abandoned Mine Lands to reclaim five abandoned mines

Anadarko Cares Since 2008, we have donated nearly $5 million to Wyoming nonprofit groups. Additionally, our employees are some of the largest contributors to the United Way in Wyoming. Recognizing the importance of Wyoming’s only four-year university, we partnered with the University of Wyoming to recruit qualified graduates and to support academic and athletic programs. We have contributed nearly $2 million to the university – matched dollar-for-dollar by the State of Wyoming – to further energy research and benefit the state’s workforce.
