Parenting is a lot like the story of the farmer in the gospel parable today. All growth is the Lord’s
work. We have no control over the process. In fact the farmer doesn’t even understand it, for the
seed grows even when he sleeps. As parents we can influence our children but nothing we do can
guarantee results.

RELIGIOUS FREEDOM LIVE EVENT
June 21 to July 4, 2015
FORTNIGHT FOR FREEDOM
In preparation for the upcoming Fortnight for Free-dom, Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore, Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee for Religious Liberty, and Hillary
Byrnes, USCCB Assistant General Counsel and lead staff to the Ad Hoc Committee, will help explore this year’s Fortnight theme: Freedom to Bear Witness.
Keeping in mind the sacrifice of so many martyrs to the
faith, both past and present, the live event will help to
emphasize the link between religious freedom and bear-
ing witness to the truth of the Gospel.
