Excellent performanceand economyRegardless of whether its primary tillage, ground care, drilling, municipal work or various transport tasks, the new generation of CVT tractors are designed for maximum power transfer to the ground and economic fuel consumption.

The basis is provided by the innovative gearbox design with continuously variable

transmission which incorporates more than ten years of successful CVT expertise.

And ecotech engine technology, which thanks to the environmentally friendly 6.7

litre turbo diesel with intercooling and common rail injection, fulfils EU exhaust

standard Tier 4a. As a result, each CVT tractor is a champion at delivering power

Continuously Variable Transmission stands for a smooth ride and perfect control. To achieve this, Steyr developed an intelligent method of optimising torque to enable a driving speed of 50 kph at a reduced engine speed of 1,550 rpm**. The power from the engine is transmitted partly hydraulically but mainly me-chanically. AUTOMATIC ADJUSTMENT OF MOST EFFICIENT ENGINE SPEED

for highest productivity thanks to S-tronic. This enables a driving speed

of 50 kph at a fuel-saving engine speed of 1.550 rpm**, while in the field a

constant PTO speed can be maintained during PTO work. For large-area muck

spreading there is a manual mode for setting a consistent transmission ratio so

that the engine speed and PTO speed match the driving speed.

HIGHEST PRECISION. While the automatic S-Guide system looks after the steer-

ing, the driver can fully concentrate on the machinery. The DGPS-based system

ensures parallel tracking while working on the straight, in curves, at the headland

and on uneven ground. Even in the most difficult terrain, weather conditions or

at night, the precision of up to 1 cm ensures that there is no risk of overlapping

or leaving out areas.

MORE PERFORMANCE AND LOWER CONSUMPTION THANKS TO ECOTECH.

This future-

oriented technology presents farmers with three convincing arguments:

These advantages are thanks to the newly developed SCR exhaust treatment sys-

tem that optimises fuel consumption at the same time as improving the response

of the engine. This system injects an optimised quantity of AdBlue in atomised

form into the exhaust gas, depending on the operating conditions. The SCR cata-

lyser then converts the poisonous nitrogen oxides into nitrogen and water. The

engine itself is not affected by the process and can produce optimum combustion

efficiency.

Using the ECO lever the driver can decide the engine speed range to match the

engine performance and efficiency to each job.

POWER PACK and big saver.The electronically controlled diesel engines enable a torque rise of up to 55 % at the PTO and deliver excellent pulling power and high elasticity. Consistent power output over a speed range of 700 rpm with 10 % power in reserve gives some indication of their economy. A high starting torque delivers enormous lugging power, even at low engine speeds, for pulling away with heavy trailers.

ECO-FAN* FOR CONSTANTLY CLEAN RADIATORS. The cooler radiators are

cleaned automatically by reversing the flow of air. This means optimum cooling

for the engine and the resulting high power output. The full-length fins with three-

stage cleaning system in the air intake guarantee optimum cooling, even when

working with front-mounted machines. This system extends the maintenance in-

tervals for the air filter and increases the service life of the engine.

EVEN MORE PERFORMANCE AND PRODUCTIVITY delivered by the engine

thanks to Power-Plus power management. As a result the power delivered by the

engine can be increased by up to 38 hp** during transport work or while work-

ing with the PTO, for example. This automatic system also ensures that the PTO

speed or transport speed remains constant.

Steyr CVT tractors are equipped as standard with a PTO that can be engaged under load to transmit engine power extremely efficiently. The standard PTO speed of 1,000 rpm is reached at an engine speed of 1,893 rpm. The energy-saving speed of 1,000E is reached at an engine speed of just 1,621 rpm (73 % of maximum engine speed). This not only saves up to 15 % fuel, it also protects the engine and the environment.

ELECTRONIC SOFT START ensures that PTO-driven machines are started up

gradually.

POWERFUL FRONT PTO* with 1,000 rpm (standard PTO) and 6-spline PTO

shaft as standard. Engine power is taken off directly from the crankshaft with-

out any joints in between. The system is integrated so that equipment can be

mounted very close to the front of the tractor.

ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC ENGAGEMENT OF THE REAR PTO at the press of a

button.

The PTO is available as standard with a 6-spline profile, with 21-spline and

20-spline versions also available.

IDEAL MATCH BETWEEN FRONT PTO* AND FRONT HITCH* provides a second

mounting area for equipment combinations to save time and costs.

PTO MANAGEMENT* for greater working comfort. Front and rear PTOs can be

programmed to switch off and on again automatically when the hitches are raised.

The hydraulic system on the CVT is based on an axial piston pump delivering an oil flow of up to 170 l/min*. This ensures extremely good response throughout the whole hydraulic system, including all machinery controlled by remote. The infinitely-variable adjustment of the flow rates for up to nine units enables precisely the right flow to be delivered to the right point at the right time. With a maximum lifting power of up to 10,460 kg* the CVT easily handles any mounted equipment.

FRONT HITCH MANAGEMENT – IDEAL IN COMBINATION WITH THE FRONT

PTO. With a maximum lifting power of up to 3,785 kg*, the front hitch is equipped

with two double-acting hydraulic cylinders. The position of the new, optimised hitch

frame can be set to float with equipment that needs to hug the ground, such as a

mower, for example. Up to four quick couplers are available for hydraulic-powered

equipment.

LOAD SENSING HYDRAULIC SYSTEM as an option for simultaneous operation

of several oil circuits as needed in multiple application jobs such as municipal

operations involving a front loader and hydraulic-powered equipment.

EHR AND RIDE CONTROL FOR ENHANCED COMFORT AND SAFETY.

The EHR electronic hitch regulation system delivers precision control.

The dynamic ride control system automatically cancels out oscillations in heavy

mounted equipment at high travelling speeds.

QUICKER AND EASIER EQUIPMENT MOUNTING thanks to universal configu-

ration of rear hitch. The standard quick couplers on the lower linkages enable

time-saving and convenient hitch-up without leaving the cab. Additional switches

outside on the rear fenders can also be used to slowly lift and lower the hitch.

SAFE WORK IN ALL TERRAINS thanks to hitch stabilisers or secure position

of lower linkages. Automatic side stabilisers are available as an option to provide

extra safety when working on steep slopes or with large equipment.

Welcome to the CVT's generously designed ergonomic cab. From the cockpit the latest design of controls and instruments operate and monitor all functions with a previously unattain-able level of comfort. Farmers experience the productivity and economy of the CVT through its impressive time and effort sav-ing features that all start in the command centre.

THE NEWEST MULTICONTROLLER is operator friendly and integrated into the

adjustable right-hand armrest of the driver's seat. Six of the tractor's key functions

are therefore within immediate grasp.

ICP INTUITIVE CONTROL PANEL. This multifunction keypad is also integrated

into the right-hand armrest and enables easy control of all the tractor's important

functions such as the hydraulic system, PTO(s), 4WD and differential lock, head-

land management and much more. The tractor monitor and performance monitor

are integrated into the right-hand A-pillar within the driver's natural field of vision

to provide the most important performance information at-a-glance.

The sloping engine hood provides an unrestricted view of the work area. The

CVT also provides the driver with a clear view to the rear. Large electric-heated

telescopic rear view mirrors* adjustable from inside the cab ensure that an eye

can be kept on each side of wide mounted loads past the rounded fenders. An

additional roof window gives a clear view of the loader.

The CVT cab is a workplace that feels good. The level of equip-ment corresponds with that of a top class car and ranges from a fine-tuned climate control system through to personal ergo-nomic settings for the seat and steering wheel. Safety is also a major consideration. A contact switch prevents the tractor from being started unless the driver is seated, for example. Thanks to the cab suspension the luxury cab provides a comfortable working environment on the road and in the field.

FATIGUE-FREE WORK. Drivers remain concentrated and focussed even after a

long working day thanks to the low noise level of 69 dB(A). The height-adjustable

tilting steering column, horizontal and vertical seat adjustment and personal seat

suspension and lumbar support settings also contribute here.

PERFECT ILLUMINATION FOR WORKING AT NIGHT. Two floodlights for the

road, six working lights integrated into the front of the roof

and up to four work lights at the rear end of the roof en-

sure perfect visibility at night time. Floodlights can also be

mounted on the rear fenders. Two additional work lights

are integrated into the radiator grill. Two adjustable work

lights can also be mounted on the handrails to light up the

area between the front and rear wheels.

FINE-TUNED CLIMATE CONTROL. A large filter in the ventilation system keeps

the air clean inside the cab. The climate control system* regulates the air condi-

tion and cab heating to maintain a consistent temperature inside the CVT.

SUPERB MANOEUVRABILITY. The sleek engine outline, central driveline and

a steering angle of 55° ensure excellent handling characteristics and a turning

radius of just 5.45 m (6130 CVT – 6160 CVT).

ACTIVE FRONT AXLE SUSPENSION** constantly monitors front axle move-

ments and responds depending on a range of parameters such as hitch position,

braking performance, acceleration etc. so ensure smooth driving response.

4WD AND DIFFERENTIAL LOCK MANAGEMENT* is provided to increase

STEYR EASY-TRONIC HEADLAND MANAGEMENT saves loads of time at the

end of the field. The sequence for the headland is recorded once and the Easy-

Tronic system ensures that the same sequence is repeated automatically. Up to

30 steps can be saved in one or two separate programs. Just press the Easy-

Tronic button on the Multicontroller to activate the saved program and Easy-Tronic

does the rest.

OPTIONAL S-GUIDE STEERING SYSTEM manages and controls passes in the

field with even more precision. The DGPS-based system takes care of steering

and ensures parallel tracking to within 1 cm while working on the straight, in

curves, at the headland and on uneven ground - and at night time as well, of

course.

EVEN MORE SAFETY THANKS TO STEYR OPTI STOP. Pressing the brake pedal

automatically engages 4WD so that the braking effect is transferred to all four

wheels. The CVT is also available with engine brake, front axle brakes, pneumatic

trailer brakes or hydraulic trailer brakes.
