Winter Holidays! Everybody knows that it is not a secret
that winter is the most favourite season of
pupils as they have their winter holidays
and can rest from school.
Winter is the time of wonders!
Firstly, we decorate our houses and New
Year’s trees and we feel exciting atmos-
phere around us as all the stores and cafes
outside start hanging festive decorations
on doors and windows. It elevates our
mood and makes us really happy.
Secondly, we celebrate the New year’s
Eve and Christmas. We are waiting for
our Father Frost with lots of presents and
miracles.
Thirdly, we like the moment on the 31st
of December when the clocks strike 12
am and all the family gathers together
around the dining table. Then we share
delicious meal and drinks. There is also
some time for winter activities as we like
them very much!
My name is Kate. I am
in the 4th form. I like
winter and winter holi-
days best of all. On my
holidays I did a lot of
things. I went to the New
Year performance and got
a nice present.

I went to visit my granny.
She is very hospitable and
she is a good cook. When I
come to her she always
cooks a lot of delicious dish-
es. My granny, my brother
and I went to the skating
rink. We had a great time
My Long-waiting Holidays! My name is Daniil. I
study in the 4th form. I
want to say that winter is
one of my favourite sea-
sons. When I can do what I
want. I usually spend win-
ter holidays with my fami-
ly: my mother, my father
and my elder brother.
On my winter holidays I
went to the circus with
my family. I saw a lot of
different animals, clowns,
jugglers, acrobats. I lis-
tened to nice music and
took many pictures. I had
really fun as all my family
gathered together!
Sklyar D., 4th form We know that pupils of
our primary school are
very active especially dur-
ing winter holidays. They
are very curious as they
want to know everything.
The pupils of the 1b
form went to the Darwin
Museum with their teach-
er.
They saw big collections
of exhibits and learnt about
the history of the theory of
evolution. All pupils were
impressed but very tired as
the territory of the museum
is large enough. They liked
the excursion very much. It
was a good beginning of
winter holidays!
there. Also we went skiing,
to the cinema and shopping.
In the evening I helped my
granny. In general I want to
say that I spent my holidays
unforgettable. I liked them!!!

My name is Ekaterina and I can call
my holidays - “Cinema Holidays” as I
read a lot , learned History, watched
different films with my mother. I want
to say that we have seen a lot of good
films.
My holidays started with a Christ-
mas episode of Sherlock which was
called “The abominable bride”. It was
fantastic as usual. Then we watch films
with James Bond, some episodes from
“Star Wars”. Of course, we went to the
cinema and watch “Mafia– the game of
survival” . The trailer of the film was
excellent but the plot of the film had
nothing to do. It’s a pity as the worst
film I have ever seen in my life. There
was neither acting nor plot, nothing!
In general I liked my winter holi-
days! Belikova E., 10th form
Don’t be indifferent!
We decided to help
homeless animals as they
live in the shelter. We
know that they need our
care, love and attention.
The pupils of our school
brought what they wanted.
Some of them brought old
clothes, the others forage
for animals, bowls and
even toys. Everyone
wanted to make a contri-
bution to the common
cause. The purpose of
this action was to show
compassion to the prob-
lem and do a good deed
for the shelter. If animals
can talk they would say
“Thank you”!

Lugansk - our new friends!
We had a great event at our school as
we were twinned with school № 60 from
Lugansk. We were looking forward to
this meeting as we didn’t know anything
about them but we were eager to be ac-
quainted with them. They turned out to
be very sociable, friendly and attentive.
We started our meeting in the Assembly
hall where we introduced our school. Our
guests listened to us very attentively.
Our new friends came to us with a real sur-
prise. Two girls performed an acrobatic dance
and we watched with pleasure.
Our school community and the representa-
tives of gymnasium №60 decided to develop
our relations in the following directions:
exchanging school newspapers, radio re-
leases and etc.
building relationships between the school
museums;
participation in the webinars;
the establishment of doing our joint
projects.
Unfortunately, the time was not enough
to communicate with our new comrades.
But they showed us their video about their
school, peaceful Lugansk and, of course,
about the war which claimed the lives of
hundreds of people. After that we signed the
contract and this moment was very official.
We continued our meeting in our school
patriotic museum. Our friends were im-
pressed by our museum. They presented us
with the book of poems of their pupils and
we gave them the symbol of our school - an
owl made by Maria Khokhlova. They invited
us to their school. We hope for our fruitful
cooperation! Belikova E., 10th form
