Forging a partnership between farmers and consumers

Paco Paco is 17.2 HH, bay Standardbred. Paco is around 10 years old and is a previous trotter. Paco race name was Dak Rab-bit, and if you have seen Paco around town, you know he loves to go. Paco is the tallest horse in the unit and doesn’t like to share anything! His Partner is Officer Abraham Cortes.

Breeze Breeze is 16.3 HH, and is a 6 year old Percheron. She is formally known as Brownville Phantom’s Breeze. Her bestest friend is Starlite, and together they can make some trouble. Breeze is a quite and has a very smooth trot.

Take part in a 50/50 raffle or basket raffles, with some great items from both corporate and private supporters. This is also the time to get your official CMPU merchandise. All the proceeds will benefit the four-legged members of the Cleveland Mounted Police Unit who you will meet at the ride and can read about in the bios below!

The fun is just beginning with our parade ride! After the ride enjoy tailgat-ing with Pig Lickin’ Good, Slanegwiches, Philly Cheese Steak, and Sweet! The Mobile Cupcakery some of Cleveland’s most popular food trucks. You will also be entertained by music from Cleveland’s own GYPSY.

PACO

BREEZE

Cruz is 16 HH, black Tennessee Walker and is 13 years old. Cruz is our veteran mount and knows Downtown better then any-one. Cruz seeks out his favorite places and always likes to show off for his special treats. He and Jakar are best buddies. His Partner is Officer Abraham Cortes.

Jakar is 17.2 HH, sorrel Tennessee Walker. Jakar was donated to the unit in April of 2013 after a year of receiving care from be-ing saved from slaughter. Jakar is our first recue horse and always is the first horse to greet you as you walk into the barn. He loves to hang out with Cruz and Sonny and is gets along with everyone. His Partner is Sergeant Mark Medwid.

CRUZ

JAKAR

Mandy Mandy is 16.2 HH, black Standardbred/Percheron Cross. Mandy loves to eat and I mean eat; she won’t let a blade of grass or tree branch go by without trying to grab it. She loves hanging out with Jack and loves all things carrots. Her Partner is Officer Scott Sieger.

MANDY

JACK

Jack Jack is 16.2 HH, bay Morgan/Percheron Cross. Jack was named after one of our dearest supporters, Jack Donahey. Jack came to the unit with Mandy from an Amish farm in Millersburg, Oh. Jack is a solid leader and he will let you know it. When you ride Jack you better hold on, he loves to run.

SONNY

Sonny Sonny is a sorrel quarter horse and is 16 HH and 16 years old. Sonny was a previous rodeo horse and barrel racer. Sonny loves to hang out with his friends Cruz and Jakar. When you ride Sonny you better make sure you have a good seat. His Partner is Sergeant Mark Medwid.

STAR

Star Star is 16.3 HH and is a 6 year old Percheron. She is formally known as Meadowlark Starlite. Star and Breeze came to the unit in May of 2012. Star is the largest horse in the unit and she displays that fact proudly. Star trots is proud and flashy. Her Partner is Officer Wilmar Gandarilla.
