OUR TRIPOur trip to Gibraltar was very interesting. Our bus driver was very funny and he told to us all

the customs and legends about Gibraltar. When we arrived, we went sightseeing around the city and visited the rock “ EL PEÑÓN”. We

entered the caves, which were great, dark and cold. Later, the bus driver was showing us

the monkeys and playing with them. It was very funny because the apes went onto everybody´s head and we took a lot of

photos. Then, we went to the city to have lunch and we could also practise English with some Gibraltarian and British citizens. About 17:30 p.m.we got into the bus and we arrived

to Montilla at 21:30 p.m. THE END

The result of a landslide from the nearby Sierra de Olta, this 1 km long mass of calcareous rock rises vertically from the sea to a height of 332 metres.

There are many interesting places to see in Gibraltar, but just a few which should not be missed are: St. Michael's Cave, 1,000 feet above sea level, and an enchanting palace of stalagmites and stalactites. The Upper Galleries excavated out of the rock as a result of the Great Siege 1779-1783, are very historical and well worth a visit. The Moorish Castle bearing scars of ten sieges was first built in 711 and destroyed during subsequent sieges. The Tower of Homage was rebuilt by the Moors when they recaptured Gibraltar from the Spaniards in 1333. The famous Rock Apes are still roaming freely along the Upper Rock.

The bus driver told us that we mustn´t hit the monkeys because the police would fine us with 600€
