FOREWORD

There are many roads of life, we are told. There are many paths we can follow. But each one of us, at some time in his life, has to branch off from these roads to start a path of his own. He must blaze a trail so that others may follow him .

In our high school years we have learned the art of trail-blazing . Various signs have helped light the path of life.

The mark of loyalty has been fixed i.n our minds_. School spirit at studies and in activities paved the way.

The mark of co-operation is a symbol never to be forgotten . The satisfaction of participating in a group will influence our lives in future years.

Through the mark of pe.rservance we learned to be firm in mind and soul.

The key of trail-blazing, learned through loyalty, co-operation, and perserverance, was faith . Always before us was our Light of Life, Christ. Although our choice in life depends on our own individual vocations, Christ is the ever present light to help us blaze our ways to the final goal-eternity with Him.

We, the class of 1968, are going forth into the wilderness of the future to make our paths, to blaze our trails. The first class to wear the familiar green blazers for four years is prepared to meet this challenge.

CLASS SONG by

KENNETH G. ZALENSKI Bosketboll 1, 2; Pep Club 4 .

Barbara Wicker

The time has come for us to part, For us to go our separate ways To build new lives, new dreams, new memories; We'll find more friends, new opportunities,

Farewell, St. Joe, Until we meet again, we meet again, The time has come for parting .

As eager freshmen we first came, Our first year filled with joy and pain,

An introduction that will'ere remain As the beginning of an endless game,

The sense of pride That we felt that first year, that first year, Is with us yet on leaving.

As sophomores we spent many hou rs, Preparing for our future world . Anxiously we awaited each new day, Gaining encouragement along the way.

Then we turned around And faced our junior year, one we held dear, The memories locked in our hearts.

Our senior year, though it's our last, Leaves us with joys so unsurpassed, As we look back, our eyes are filled with tears, We'll never forget our bygone high school years.

Farewell, St. Joe Until we meet again, we meet again, The time has come for parting.

Sung to THE SOUNDS OF SILENCE
