Assessment Tool
This assessment is completed by teachers on each individual student three times a year. It measures a child’s growth in each of the goals objectives for learning and their indicators. These objectives are aligned with the Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework. This also enables teachers to see student movement toward School Readiness goals within the Head Start Program, so teachers can individualize learning for each child.

Summary of InformationThis summary is based on the 25 infant/toddlers whom have
assessment data in both Fall, Winter, and Spring 2018-2019 checkpoints. It is important to note 80%-88% of all EHS
infant/toddlers are meeting or exceeding the objectives across all domains. Assessment data displays growth in all domains with the largest percentage growth in the language domain at 47% and the
lowest percentage of growth in the mathematics domain with 23%, however 65% of all EHS infant toddlers were already meeting or
exceeding objectives in the physical domain in the Fall limiting the amount of overall growth. Assessment data supports program
goals including those for school readiness for our infant/toddlers are being met by establishing nurturing relationships, providing safe and stimulating environments, and implementing strong curriculum
fidelity in our EHS classrooms.
