ASSEMBLY

INSTRUCTIONS

Outfitter Series XWT Tent

Your Outfitter XWT tent is relatively easy to set up as long as you follow these instructions. We strongly recommend setting it up at home prior to using in the field. Although floor seams are sealed at the factory, it is impossible to tape all seams. Apply enclosed sealer to all exposed seams (follow instructions on bottle) prior to use.

1. Spread out your tent floor side down. Place a stake at each corner of the tent, through the loop at the end of the webbing. Begin this process with the two positions at either end of the tent. Pull the webbing taut so that you attain a straight line but do not distort the shape of the tent. Place the stakes into the ground at a 45-degree angle facing away from the tent. (Fig 1) Review your staking to ensure you have a secure symmetrical fit.

2. Assemble the shock corded center hub by inserting the attached pole sections into the holes on the center hub. Attach the assembled hub to the metal clip located at the center of the top of the tent (outside) (Fig 2) and lay the hub down with a pole section pointing to each corner of the tent. Wrap the first two (from the top of tent) hook and loop webbing straps around each of the tent hub poles, through the metal ring and back onto itself to secure. (Fig 3) Assemble the four-bipod leg poles so that the ferrules fit snugly together. Be sure that each joint is fully engaged before use. Improper engagement could result in pole damage.

3. At one corner of the tent, insert the end of the bipod leg pole into the corresponding hub pole section. Repeat this process at the opposite corner. Once poles are fit snugly together, slowly lift the tent. Insert the spring clips on either side of the tent body corner into the end of the bipod leg poles. Repeat this process with

the remaining bipod leg poles.

ASSEMBLY

INSTRUCTIONS

On the lower corners of the tent body, locate the webbing with the metal ring. Loosen the webbing and place the metal ring over the pole end protruding from the base of the bipod leg pole corner. (Fig 4) Using the ladder lock Pull the end of the webbing to secure the connection. Secure the rest of the tent body to the frame using the hook and loop webbing straps located on the tent body along each pole line. Wrap the webbing around the pole, through the metal ring and back onto itself. (Fig.3) The tent should look like Fig 5.

Drape the flysheet over the tent with the main vestibule over the front door of the tent. Secure the fly to the frame by reaching up under the fly and wrapping the hook and loop tabs loosely around the pole at each corner location. Loosen all buckles on the flysheet. Connect the male end on the flysheet with the female end of the buckle located at each corner of the tent body. The buckles are adjustable to ensure maximum coverage regardless of weather conditions and tent/fly fit. Be sure buckles are adjusted equally.

Assemble the remaining awning pole. Thread the assembled pole through the brown sleeve located near the door of the vestibule. Insert spring pin located at the tent corner into the end of the vestibule pole. Repeat on opposite end of pole. Pull out vestibule and stake at each webbing location. Go to the rear of the tent and pull out the vestibule and stake at each webbing location.

On each side of the fly connect the webbing with the metal hook, to the metal ring located on the lower portion of the tent body. With the fly staked out this will help keep a ventilated space between the tent and flysheet. Adjust all stakes buckles etc. as needed for a taut fit.

To ensure maximum stability, weather protection and ventilation use the nylon guy ropes provided with your tent. Adjust the tensioner to create a loop and secure with the stakes provided. Your tent is now ready for use. (Fig. 6)

CARE

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cabela's tents are produced to strict specifications, using only the finest coated fabrics. To prevent stitching leakage, the floor and fly seams are factory seam taped. For added protection, you should apply a seam sealant to any nontaped seams.

2. Do not erect the tent over rocks, sticks or other sharp objects which could damage the tent floor. Placing a ground cloth or XWT Pitch Kit under the tent is highly recommended.

3. Cabela's tent fabrics are flame retardant treated per CPAI-84 specifications. Open flames should not be used in or near the tent since a flame-resistant tent can still burn or melt.

4. When possible, open doors to increase ventilation and reduce condensation which can form on the inner tent surface.

5. The lightweight, durable shock-corded aluminum poles are specifically designed to reduce the weight load and to allow for maximum tautness. Care should be taken to avoid unnecessary stress to these poles. The poles should only be used as intended and not bent more than the curvature of the tent. Make sure joints are fully engaged before bending the poles. Should you break or lose a pole, a replacement can be obtained from Cabela's.

6. Always store the tent dry and clean. To clean soiled areas, gently apply non-
