Overview
1. In order to enhance the academic, cultural, and social career of students in Kuwait and abroad, College of
Business Administration (CBA) has a well-established Student Exchange Program (SEP) in 2006.
2. The program was approved as a concept in December 16th, 2007 by the Higher Board of Kuwait University.
3. The program was activated in March 31st, 2008 upon the approval of the Minster of Higher Education.
CBA had earned its’ initial academic accreditation in 2005 by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of
Business (AACSB).
CBA is considered to be the top Arabian Institution tat started to implement the Students Exchange Program in the
Arab Region. However, College of Business Administration (CBA), Kuwait University, is the only Kuwaiti
Institution that send student to accredited business schools all over the globe.
The program gives the outgoing exchange student the opportunity to:
1. Develop the personal skills.
2. Live independently in a different culture and society.
3. Identify how to live financially independent as well as share a collective sense of fulfillment in contribution to
society.
4. Have the ability to be a good decision maker within a new cultural environment.
5. Build strong relation of forgiveness with other students.
6. Interdepend within the cultural diverse world.
7. Study with the most qualified faculty members at the best accredited business schools.
8. Identify the latest educational resources and technical instruments of the best accredited business schools.
SEP Aims towards CBA Outgoing Exchange Student
Admission Conditions - Undergraduate Outgoing Student
1. Student must be accredited at Kuwait University and no disciplinary sanctions taken against him/her.
2. Student should have a Proof of English Proficiency. Student should have passed English Course (106) in
accordance with the signed MoU.
3. Student should have completed (4) semesters at CBA before enrollment in the exchange program.
4. Student should have passed not less than (60) credits at CBA.
5. Student’s GPA should not be less than (3) points.
6. Student should study not less than (15) credits which means (5) core courses selected from transcript.
Completion of Prerequisite course is mandatory.
7. Student should not study more than one full academic year (two semesters and a summer course) at the host
school.
8. Student should cover not less than (15) credits at CBA upon the completion of the exchange student program.
The exchange program is open to all CBA students who fulfill the conditions below:
(Special-Needs Students are welcome to apply in the program).
Admission Conditions – Graduate Outgoing Student
1. Student must be accredited at Kuwait University and no disciplinary sanctions taken against him/her.
2. Student should have a Proof of English Proficiency in accordance with the signed MoU.
3. Student should have completed (1) semester at CBA before enrollment in the exchange program.
4. Student should have passed not less than (9) credits at CBA.
5. Student’s GPA should not be less than (3.5) points.
6. Student should study not less than (6) credits selected from transcript. Completion of Prerequisite course is
mandatory.
7. Student should not study more than one semester at the host school.
8. Student should cover not less than (9) credits which means (3) core courses a the Faculty of Higher Education
upon the completion of the exchange program.
The exchange program is open to all CBA students who fulfill the conditions below:
Documents - Outgoing Exchange Student
Admission Documents:
1. CBA Application Form and Business Courses List to be studied at the host business school.
2. Colored copy of the photo page of passport (validity ≥ 2 years).
3. Three (3) small photographs as the same size and background color of the passport photograph.
4. Official University Transcript in English Version.
5. Proof of English Language Proficiency in accordance with the signed MoU.
6. Curriculum Vitae in English Version.
7. Nomination letter released by Home Business School.
Other Requirement (within and after exchange semester):
• SEP Survey and Report: student is expected to answer SEP survey and write a report about the experience
within the exchange semester.
Advantages - Outgoing Exchange Student
Advantages given to outgoing exchange student by Kuwait University:
1. Free registration fee for the exchange semester.
2. Monthly payment that covers accommodation, catering, transportation and living expenses during the study
period of exchange.
3. Medical Insurance.
4. Economy-Class Ticket on Kuwait Airways.
5. Reimbursement for visa and medical bills.
Regulations - Outgoing Exchange Student
1. Student’s GPA will remain as the same as before the exchange period because no grades listed for the studied
courses abroad but only their credits will be included.
2. Student will be considered passed if he/she gets grade of ( C )and above.
3. Student should withdraw CBA registered courses within the exchange period before leaving abroad.
4. Student’s stipend will be paid monthly since the day of leaving until returning on condition that the student
provides the transcript of the host school.
