OUTREACH
GREAT NEWS– Hand2Hand will continue through the summer with your help. Hunger doesn’t take a break for the summer months, so Sparta Naz will be teaming up with the other two Sparta H2H churches this summer. We will continue to supply food to our ‘at risk’ families from Ridgeview and Appleview Elementary Schools throughout the summer. Sparta Naz will be supplying boxes of food for the H2h families on June 27th. We are doing a themed box along with regular food items. Your help is vital to make this happen! Below are ways you can participate: MONETARY DONATIONS are needed. These allow us to purchase food for pennies on the dollar from
Feeding America. FOOD DONATIONS are also welcome. Full Size items are needed for the summer months to assist in
feeding additional siblings in the home. Glass jars are permissible and large family size cans are
requested. Hotdogs/buns and fresh fruit and veggies should be donated the week of June 23rd only to keep fresh.
Please remember
to bring your baby
bottle to church on
Father’s day. You
can fill your bottle
with spare change,
dollar bills, or write
a check payable to
Alpha Family Center. It is okay to return bottles that are
empty or partially filled. Thank you for sharing God’s
love while making a difference in the community as
Alpha Family Center assists women who face a crisis
pregnancy.
...to engage in
your community, outside the doors of our church this June through: 1) Volunteer at Mel Trotter store (Sparta or Grand Rapids) 2) Send a note/card to someone as a thank you for recognizing what they do. 3) Have a “Love Bag” with you so you can give it to a stranger when God prompts you. WORLD MISSION Please begin praying for the team from Sparta Naz who will be ministering in the Dominican Republic from August 3—11. This team of 16 people
will be working on a child development/teen pregnancy center, which is a ministry of the San Juan, Dominican Republic Nazarene Church and serves 500 children. If you are interested in supporting our team, they would greatly appreciate your prayers as they prepare to minister in the Dominican Republic. Besides paying for their trip expenses, the team is also raising $2,000 above the funds provided by the church for this project. If you would like to contribute towards this $2,000, please mark your donation for “Dominican Republic project funds.” You will make a difference in the lives of these 500 children!
THANK YOU “A big thanks to Fred & Becky Heeringa
and the teens who came and cleaned up
our yard. They did a great job and we
highly recommend them. We so appreci-
ate them.”
