Who we are:
• Formed in 1935
• Farmer-funded, national umbrella organization
• 28 members include provincial general farm organizations, national & interprovincial commodity groups
CFA: A Unif ied Voice for Canadian Farmers
Mission: To promote the interests of Canadian agriculture producers, through leadership at the national level, and to ensure the continued development of a trusted, sustainable, and vibrant agriculture sector in Canada.
Vision: To be the national voice of Canadian producers — committed to enabling their success, which will benefit Canada and the world.

Temporary Foreign Worker Program and Labour
➢ CFA Ministerial roundtable on May 3rd - Over 70 participants focused on fostering trust, compliance and improved efficiency in the program.
➢ CFA working group brings industry & government departments together regularly to discuss and address agricultural TFW issues.
➢ Allows industry to discuss and provide feedback on potential changes, ensuring industry perspectives are taken into account.

Housing & Worker Replacements➢ Flexibility for leasing, building new accommodations, and using hotels.
➢ Reduced advertising for replacement workers
Transparency initiative – all policies and guidelines publicly available
Biometrics relief – Temporary measures to avoid delays from biometrics collection incl. additional processing capacity and early applications (LMIA & Work Permit)
CFA’s Current Pr ior i t ies
➢ Expand the definition of primary agriculture – all farmers &farm activities must be able to access agricultural streams and exemptions
➢ Establish a Trusted Employer program that expedites processing for those with a history of program compliance
➢ Simplifying the program interface and reducing administrative burden
➢ Promoting compliance through employer education and greater program transparency
➢ Create pathways to permanent residency for year-round occupations
