The following policies and guidelines will be in effect for the Minnesota Vikings 2020 season at U.S. Bank Stadium. These regulations were formulated in conjunction with the National Football League and are subject to change based on constant evaluations of, and responses to, the COVID-19 pandemic by the NFL, NFLPA, national/local government agencies, health officials and the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings communications staff reserves the right to change these policies as needed.

overview

VIKINGS2020 MINNESOTA VIKINGS U.S. BANK STADIUM GAME DAY POLICIES

All approved credentials will be determined by league and club guidelines. To apply, go to the Vikings Online Media Center (Vikings.1rmg.com) and select the credentials drop-down menu on the bottom of the left sidebar. The deadline to apply for credentials for a Sunday game is Wednesday at 5 p.m. (CT).

The credential application is provided to allow accredited sports media organizations who cover the National Football League on a regular basis to submit credential requests for Minnesota Vikings home games. All credential requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the discretion of the Vikings Communications Department. Accreditation is strictly reserved for members of the press who represent a credible media outlet. The Vikings do not credential freelance media members who are not on specific assignment from a recognized news organization or sports publication. The team also does not issue credentials to personal, non-commercial web sites, blogs, or podcasts.

Please direct any additional questions to Jon Ekstrom ([email protected]) or Carly Bonk ([email protected]).

When submitting a request for single-game access, please take the following into consideration:

• ALL credential requests must be submitted by your organization’s sports editor/director/producer.• The editor submitting the application on an organization’s behalf should coordinate the organization’s

coverage and include ALL department requests on one master application - i.e. news, sports, photo departments should all be submitted on one request, at one time.

• If at all possible, outlets should keep the quantity of credentials requested consistent with past requests.• Game day parking for media is extremely limited at U.S. Bank Stadium and we cannot guarantee parking

passes for all working media.• All credentials are non-transferable and may only be used by the specific staff person to which it has been

issued.

Per NFL policies, armbands are required for personnel to be permitted on the field or in the operational zone. These armbands must be paired with an approved Club or NFL-issued photo credential, and both the armband and credential must be worn at all times. The armband on its own will not grant access to the stadium or any other areas. Credentials and armbands may not be used by, lent to or transferred to, any individual or entity other than the person to which it was directly issued.

Network television and club media personnel with a field access credential, but without a field access armband will NOT be permitted on the field. The field access armband will be required for on-field access beginning four hours prior to kickoff and throughout the entirety of the game.

Both field access and operational zone access personnel will be able to pick up armbands at the media check-in tables inside the Lower Pentair Gate at U.S. Bank Stadium.

A R M B A N D S

All operational zone media are required to wear photo vests in addition to their game-issued credential and appropriate armband.

The vests will be distributed at the media check-in tables inside the Lower Pentair Gate.

V E S T S

Prior to arriving at U.S. Bank Stadium, all media outlets, broadcast partners and network television crews will electronically receive a Workers Responsibility Form.

Upon arriving at the stadium, all media members will be required to sign a liability waiver at the media check-in area inside Lower Pentair before proceeding to their designated work areas. The waiver only needs to be signed once and is valid for all Vikings games played at U.S. Bank Stadium during the 2020 season.

The Vikings communications staff has a limited number of parking passes available for season-long and single-game media members in Lot 68 and the 1010 Ramp. Network television talent will be dropped off and picked up at Lower Pentair.

The Vikings will provide two parking spots in the staff lot for national radio and broadcast television to use. • Upon arrival, there will be a police officer and a K-9 dog to sweep/walk around your vehicle.• Once you clear the security checkpoint, you will be directed to your assigned parking spot.• Place your parking pass so it is visible inside of your vehicle for security to see. • Upon exiting the parking lot, turn left and head to media check-in at Lower Pentair.

On game days, satellite trucks will park along 11th Avenue South. If you are requesting satellite truck parking, please contact U.S. Bank Stadium Broadcast Operations Manager Tadd Wilson at [email protected].

The northwest side of the sidewalk is reserved for local Minnesota stations credentialed for the game and the southwest side of the sidewalk (closest to the intersection of 11th and 6th), will serve as parking for the broadcast network testing trailer. There is 100amp electrical service in a pedestal located there.

If a testing trailer is not stationed on the southwest side of the sidewalk, the space will be reserved for visiting station satellite parking.

Please see below for satellite truck parking areas.

The Vikings communications staff provides a range of services to media. For the 2020 season, the staff will move towards a paper-free press box to limit contact points across all areas. All game-related material will be communicated to media members through emails, the Vikings Online Media Center (Vikings.1rmg.com) and televisions in the press box.

As in previous seasons, Ethernet cords will be provided upon request. The cord will be handed out in its origi-nal packaging and it can be kept. The Vikings communications staff will not collect it.

E T H E R N E T C O R D S

The Vikings will move towards a paperless press box to limit contact points on materials for the 2020 season. The packet of communications materials generally provided at press box seats will only be available on the Viking Online Media Center (Vikings.1rmg.com).

Inactive sheets will be distributed digitally and will be displayed on televisions in the press box.

In-game stats will not be printed, but are available on NFLGSIS.com.

The Vikings communications staff will utilize its Twitter account and the Vikings Online Media Center throughout the game to push out stats and pertinent information.

Postgame quotes and statistics will be available on the Vikings Online Media Center and emailed after the game.

media services

For all 16 games (home and away) in 2020, the Minnesota Vikings will provide full quote transcripts of Head Coach Mike Zimmer and quarterback Kirk Cousins in a timely manner after the game.

When playing at U.S. Bank Stadium, the visiting team will provide their own transcriptions.

All Vikings postgame availabilities will be recorded and available for download via a Dropbox link that will be shared after each game. Please let the Vikings communications staff know if you want to be added to the postgame quote email.

wireless frequencies

Please be advised that if you are employing a radio frequency communications device (cell phones excluded), you must submit your coordination request using the NFL’s Event Frequency Coordination System at EFC.NFL.NET.

The device and frequency under which it operates must be submitted in advance to avoid interference with the many radio frequency devices used at NFL games.

The request for a dedicated wireless frequency must be made by Tuesday of game week (for a typical Sunday game). Should coverage plans develop after Tuesday of game week, requests will be reviewed in the order they are received.

Due to FCC regulations, it will be difficult to accommodate all requests. Those with late requests, as a general rule, should be prepared to work in a wired fashion.

As a reminder, if you arrive at the stadium and have not pre-coordinated your frequency, the Event Frequency Coordinators (EFC’s) will inform you that you cannot operate your equipment in wireless fashion. You must work in wired mode. You will not be denied entry to the stadium simply for arriving at the venue without having coordinated.

Should you be discovered using equipment with an uncoordinated frequency, the equipment must be removed from the stadium. You will not lose your game credential and may still have access to media services.

R E P O R T I N G R A D I O F R E Q U E N C I E S - E F C . N F L . N E T

All postgame press conferences at U.S. Bank Stadium (Vikings and visiting team) will be conducted virtually after approximately a 10-minute cooling off period following the conclusion of the game.

Each head coach and a key player from each team will join the virtual press conferences with other select players being made available afterwards.

The Vikings press conferences will be streamed live on Vikings.com and social platforms and the visiting team will stream their press conferences on their own platforms. Links to join the press conferences will be communicated prior to the start of the game with a reminder and updated timing sent once the game concludes.

All media members and broadcast television personnel who wish to join the virtual press conferences will do so from their respective workspaces.

All Vikings postgame availabilities will be recorded and available for download via a Dropbox link that will be shared after each game and full transcripts of Head Coach Mike Zimmer and quarterback Kirk Cousins will also be emailed out.

Please let the Vikings communications staff know if you want to be added to the postgame quote email.
